Bought this specifically to team up with my Tsunami TSSPJC-681H Trophy Slow Pitch Jigging Casting rod. It's a great lightweight combo and I can't wait to start using it in about a month or so on my favorite party boat(s). Very sturdy reel with great line capacity. It's a nice addition to my Squall 300 LPLH which I love and has done very well.

This is a mighty fine reel. I use it for saltwater Tautog (aka blackfish) jigging. It has horsed in many a blackfish without so much as a hiccup. It is extemely smooth with a lot of power. I have it spooled with approx. 200 yds of 50-lbs Angryfish AGWX9 braided line. I've casted out to 50+ yds with a 2-oz sinker and a piece of bait. Have caught black seabass and jumbo Scup (aka porgy) on this reel using the stock handle, but switched to a power handle for blackfish. Cranking power is a lot better and smoother with a power handle. Love this reel! Just put her on a new rod -Tsumami Trophy Series 7-ft, extra heavy power 1-pc rod with acid-wrapped guides.
