The most striking thing for me when putting on my new Boreo was how small it was. I have a 59cm circumference head and the M/L size helmet states it fits up to 61cm. I'd challenge that because I have almost no space to play with. Wearing a thin windproof skull cap under the helmet maxes it out for me and is bordering on a slighly over snug fit. The straps are quite thin, certainly thinner than those on my cycling helmet and they are fixed with no adjustment buckle under the ears to fine tune the fit. On me this means the strap cuts into my upper front neck/jaw area. I am constantly trying to pull the strap forward but it will not go. Next, the supplied internal padding is measley. I find the forehead pad to be ok if a little narrow. The crown of your head padding is next to useless, unless you have a very flat top head. It is a ring of thin foam that results in the crown of your head making contact with the polystyrene of the helmet structure. I ended up buying some replacement pads and putting one exactly where the top of my head needs it. I'm tolerating this helmet because it is new to me and I don't wear it everyday but if I find myself doing another mountain expedition that needs me to wear a helmet day after day for more than a few days, I'll be looking to bin this one off. I am sure it is a highly capable and protective helmet, I've thankfully not fall tested it...

Robuste, qualité Petzl, comfortable grace à ses pièces assez moelleuses placées sous le casque et sur certaines lanières d'attaches, respirant pour laisser sortir la transpiration, lanières bien ajustables pour bien le régler à sa taille
