I love these x-plates (and the xl-bowls), and keep coming back as I grow my kit. The cutting board on the bottom works very well, I don't even bring a "real" cutting board. Just be careful not to nick the rubber sides of the plate... very easy to cut.

Have barely had this bowl for 6-months and noticed it leaking. There are two splits along the first folding crease. It has been a good workhorse, but now I know it splits, I will go for rigid next time. Such a shame as it has been a great bowl that has served well for 80-days constant use. Perhaps 80-days is all you can expect, so you may get a couple of seasons out of it, but eventually it will fail and you don't want that to be on a trip.

Definitely a great idee to combine a solid plate with a flexible rim that allows to reduce the volume for transport. But the silicone changed its consistency over only 2 year of occasional use thansk to Covid. Now the silicon part has a sticky surface which cannot be removed by washing. So obviously the dissolution of material has started. I would not like to have my food in contact with that sticky surface. Actually I am very disappointed about the change of quality. I clearly expected a life of longer than just two years.
