Extremely easy to stow, go, and use. I did not notice any rando leaks or drips, so I would be comfortable in saying the quality of manufacture and functionality is good stuff. For as small as it is, it really makes it easy to just have with you, and when installed the sizing really doesn't take up much real estate at all.I tried this in a hydroflask as well as in a yeti; it fit both just fine, so I'm sure it would provide some clean and tasty (or tasteless) water to you when needed... You just need to have that opening to screw into. All in all, I'll likely nab a few more of these to have on hand, in conjunction with my lifestraws and other water purifying stuffs. Good product!

I got this to use when backpacking. Scope some water and put the lid on which has the filter and it taste perfect. I give mine a little shake just to make sure. Platypus Is a really popular brand in camping, backpacking, outdoor so I knew I was getting a great product. It’s not some unknown Chinese brand. If you want clean water that won’t make you sick which you definitely don’t want to happen while backpacking! Ask me how I know lol. The piece of mind is worth the price

The cap was an excellent fit for my Nalgene bottle. It was tested overnight upside down and there was no leakage. When turned upside down with the cap’s lid open, water will only drip out: as expected, suction is needed to get a flow of water through the filter. Three illustrated 2-sided instruction sheets are included, providing guidance in English, French and German. The instructions indicate that there will be increased flow after a little use. The filter is assembled in the USA and has good specifications for safe water filtering in many ‘wild’ situations.

Filtering:- On paper, this isn’t as beefy as the popular Sawyers, filtering: 0.2 micron vs 0.1 micron, 1000 L (albeit of “worst-case” water) vs. “up to” 378.5k L (100k gal). It still claims to pass the NSF & EPA standards (of which I obvs can’t verify/test), and losing that extra 0.00009% of bacterial protection doesn’t seem like that much of a concern. That said, it’s relatively compact and super simple to use compared to needing multiple bottles/reservoirs like most of the Sawyers.- Flow rate feels nice, needing only a slight suction - slightly more than when using a regular straw to drink soda, but way less than when trying to drink a fresh thick milkshake through a straw. If you flip the bottle upside down and use gravity, it only dribbles out, so this isn’t ideal if you need to filter water for cooking or whatnot.- First two liters or so, testing with tap water, there’s a faint plastic-y taste imparted, which lessens the more it’s used.Lid design:- Tested by vigorously shaking while upside down and without the filter installed (i.e. just the cap) on both a Hydroflask and a Nalgene. The main seal worked fine on both, but…- There’s a very slight leak seemingly from the flip top joint (pic), or maybe from the mouth hole which then drains to the joint. Maybe a few drops after 15s of vigorous shaking upside down. As a regular water bottle lid, it’d be totally fine upright-ish like in a backpack side water bottle pocket, but I wouldn’t carry it horizontally in a messenger bag all day. I didn’t test with the filter in for fear of damaging it while shaking so hard, but I think it’d be fine since the hinge and lip area are within the filtered “chamber”, protected from the rest of the bottle.- Note that it’s compatible with the Yeti Yonder (their plastic water bottle), NOT their stainless insulated Rambler series. I don’t have a Yeti Yonder, so can’t comment on that fitment.

I have a 1050ml titanium water bottle that has a lid that is the same width and threading as a nalgene bottle. This filter screws right on to the bottle and does not leak at all. It is simple to use, just open the cover of the drink spout and drink away. It filters down to 0.02 microns which is pretty good and will remove most harmful protozoa and bacteria (99.99%) from your water along with sediment and microplastics. The filter can be removed from the lid for easy cleaning and dried out for storage when not in use. You can get replacement filters for it without having to buy a new lid every time. The replacement filters are small and light so it would be good to have a couple for backups when out hiking or camping just in case you damage one (do not let them freeze when they are wet or being used... it destroys the filter ability)The only drawback I have seen with it is you can't just pour water out of the bottle into a pot or cup. You have to suck on the bottle (just barely) to get the water to flow out (and that holds true for almost all hollow fibre style filters) however I have found that if you give a bit of a shake to the bottle while trying to pour water out it will sort of work... it's allows a little water to come out with each shake... which is good enough for me to use it to add a little filtered cold water to my tea when it is too hot.Overall I really like this filter and would recommend it to anyone with a boundless voyage titanium bottle, or any other bottle that has nalgene style threading on the lid.
