I know this is described as being intended for a phone but I have a C054 cradle with a CS540 headset and can confirm it does allow this to function as a USB headset with Windows. The headset does have a an idle timer and will shut off after a period, but it still beeps when a call is coming through. Just turn the headset back on with the button and it works fine. May need to go into device settings and make sure it's the default, but in my case it wasn't necessary.

Tut, was es soll. Gekauft, um mein kabelloses Plantronics-Headset zuhause auch mit dem Home Office-Notebook nutzen zu können. Funktioniert einwandfrei.

Super...funktioniert bestens mit plantronics SAVI 7xx und Cisco IP CommunicatorDenn genau das war mein Szenario... Habe andere hier probiert, aber nur dieser funktioniert!

Funktioniert. Keine Probleme bei der Installation und im Betrieb. Gewohnte Plantronics-qualität. Man muss nur darauf achten, das passende Kabel zum Telefon auszuwählen.

This cable is used to connect a Cisco/Nortel EHS-compliant handset with a Plantronics CS540 DECT headset. Very easy to connect - 1 plug at each end and that's connection complete; it's not the end of the setup, though. The phone has to be reconfigured to route the audio to the USB connector, using the Services key, then Telephone Options, then select the appropriate headset. If you have any problems setting this up, phone Plantronics support and they'll talk you through it - I did, and they were most helpful.

Basically a custom cable to interface a Plantronics office headset (ie Savi or Voyager/PRO) and Cisco (among others) office phone. In my case I am using a MDA200 switch and a Cisco 9971 UC VoIP phone. Works as advertised: Allows the plantronics device to "pick up" the phone (activate Headset interface in my case).Very specific aesthetics gripe follows, not directly product related:My only gripe is that the straight USB interface sticks out from the side of the phone (aesthetically displeasing) so I got a "right" 90 degree USB dongle to allow a flush/invisible cable route. If the phone was on the left side of the workstation, it might not be so bad as the MDA would likely sit to the right of the phone. In my case the Right side desk side with MDA on left makes the cable sticking out unwieldy and ugly.
