Ich habe noch gar nicht alles ausprobiert, doch was ich probiert habe funktioniert einwandfrei!Löcher, Anorak und Jerseydruckknöpfe gehen. Anfangs bekam ich die Aufsätze nicht raus ohne Zange, das geht jetzt leichter nach Benutzung mit dem beigefügten Tool. Das Video hat mir geholfen.Früher hatte ich ein günstiges Druckknopfset bei dem sich die Teile nicht richtig pressen ließen und alles dauernd auseinander gingen. Damit ist jetzt Schluss. Hier ist alles perfekt und ist kinderleicht zu bedienen!

Ganz nettes Set. Zange wirkt nicht gerade hochwertig. Die Kunststoffteile zum Einclipsen in die Zange bekommt man nur mit Zange oder Werkzeug wieder raus und die Handhabung verlangt etwas Übung.Ganz nette Spielerei um mal schnell etwas zu reparieren, wo keiner so genau hin schaut...

As many wrote before me, the product instructions are lousy. After playing with it for a while you kind of get the hang of it but it is only OK for small jobs.

The first set I ordered had a missing locking slide on the box. Shouldn't have been sent out like this. The replacement had no issues.The set consists of Prym Vario pliers with a variety of accessories. There are instructional videos from Prym on YouTube about the Vario pliers themselves, and also more detailed videos about working with each set of accessories (Jersey, Anorak, Sport/Camping, Oesen). I picked a test piece of fabric (an old rag) and followed all the videos one by one, making a couple of mistakes along the way - recommend to watch first, then think a bit, finally do it. Don't hurry, make sure the correct inserts are in the pliers, and the right parts are combined in the right orientation.The pliers have round holes that accept matching inserts. There is a two-sided insert with 3 and 4 mm holes, and a cone-shaped insert. Using the pliers with these, 3 or 4 mm holes can be made quickly. I tested it with a piece of fabric and it worked well.Then comes the part already mentioned in other reviews, for which I am deducting a star. There is a small plastic tool supplied for removing inserts from the players. It pushes the insert out just a couple of mm, though, and the majority of the inserts in my set are still very tight at this point. They have to be either grabbed by your fingernails and pulled out while gently rocking side to side, or pushed out from the back with an appropriate tool. A suitable screwdriver would do for most of the inserts, but for the 3/4 mm hole insert care you should be careful not to damage the inner circle which is the part that actually cuts the fabric. A parallel pin punch of a suitable diameter would work. Someone suggested pulling out the inserts with pliers, surely this will mar the outer surface of the insert, although that surface is purely cosmetic and wouldn't interfere with the insert's function.This might sound like not a big deal, but e.g. if you need to install one Anorak snap. Take out pliers out of the box, fit the hole punch inserts, make two holes, remove the inserts, put the two inserts for installing the first half of the snap, install, remove the inserts, put the two (different) inserts for installing the second half of the snap, install, remove the inserts and put everything back in the box. That's 6 times you have to deal with difficult to remove inserts. Some of them are a bit easier to remove (the plastic "anvil" parts) and some are more difficult. After fitting one snap/eyelet of each type provided (4 types in total), it became a little bit easier to remove the inserts, or maybe it's just I learned a better pulling technique? I hope that with use they will get a little bit looser. In Prym's videos it certainly looks much easier than it is in my case. Either they have a well-worn pair of pliers in the video, or there are production differences resulting in individual pliers or inserts having different levels of tightness.As one reviewer mentioned, the pliers jaws approach each other at an angle (like typical pliers), due to a simple single hinge design. This results in higher clamping pressure closer to the hinge, and lower pressure closer to the tips. In theory, it would be better if the pliers employed a more advanced hinge to implement parallel action. In practice, all the test pieces I've done came out looking evenly and symmetrically crimped.Jersey snaps - these are smaller snaps suitable for light-duty clothing.Anorak snaps - these are medium snaps suitable for pants, jackets etc.Sport/camping - these are large snaps suitable for tarps, camping gear etc.Eyelets - 4mm eyelets, suitable as drain holes, or to fasten two pieces together.

Could have been less expensive for pliers but they do the job very well.

El kit incluye una herramienta para convertir las pinzas en "sacabocados" y perforar antes de poner los corchetes. Zum Basteln, Nähen und Verziehren sind der Inhalt und die Zange bestens geeignet. Ich habe schon jeden Druckknopf / jede Öse auf verschiedenen Materialien befestigt und es ging alles problemlos und schnell. Die Ösen benutze ich vor allen gerne, um Geschenkanhänger aus Pappe herzustellen.Durch das große Angebot von Prym kann die Zange außerdem noch mit weiteren Aufsätzen in ihrer Funktion erweitert werden.Ich kann diese Zange nur weiterempfehlen.
