Automatische und manuelle Modi
Im Automatikmodus erkennt der Schweißstift automatisch, wenn zwei Stifte mit Metall in Berührung kommen, und gibt einmal aus. Im manuellen Modus, wenn zwei Stifte in Kontakt mit Metall erkannt werden, nach kurzem Drücken der „Power On/Off Taste“, wird der Stift einmal ausgeben. Der aktuelle Modus kann anhand der Anzeigeleuchte erkannt werden. Die Beschreibung der Anzeigeleuchte finden Sie im entsprechenden Kapitel.

Dies ist eine Punktschweißmaschine, die speziell für die Transplantation von Handy-Batteriezellen entwickelt wurde und Handy-Batterien vom 1. bis zum 3. Gang punktschweißen kann.
0,1-0,15 Nickelplatte in 4-6 Gängen.
0,15-0,2 Nickelplatte in 7-8 Gängen.
0,2-0,3 Nickelplatte in 9-11 Gängen.

Er dient zum Einrasten der Kernschutzplatte am Punktschweißgerät, wenn der Kern verpflanzt wird.

Ersetzt den positiven Pol des Punktschweißstiftes, mit dem der Benutzer den negativen Pol des Stiftes beim Punktschweißen halten kann, wenn er den Kern verpflanzt.

Brauche das Teil zum Schweißen von 18650er Lion Akkus und muss sagen ja es geht, aber die Bedienung und Handhabung lassen zu wünschen übrig. Zum einen piepst das Ding jedes Mal wenn man auf den Knopf für die Leistung drückt, das kann sehr schnell nervig werden wenn man zb. Abends mals was bastelt und die Frau/Kinder wollen im Nebenzimmer schlafen. Zum anderen finde ich die zwei losen Kabelenden alias Schweiß- bzw. Lötspitzen unpraktisch, besser wäre da etwas Starres für meinen Anwendungsfall. Habe in einen Pappkarton zwei Löcher geschnitten und die Akkus da reingesteckt, das Lötblech auf die Kontakte gelegt um dann mit zwei Händen zu schweißen - das war schon etwas nervig. Man kann damit auch Handys Akkus schweißen und dafür ist das Gerät wohl auch primär ausgelegt. Fazit: ja es funktioniert aber nerviger Piepton und fummelihe Handhabung bei losen Batterien führen zu Punktabzug in meiner Bewertung.

This seems to be a pretty nice compact battery spot welder so far.The "user interface" is pretty simple and with a little trial and error, I was able to make some good test spot welds with some of the included nickel strips. The metal strips will tear before the spot weld comes apart.The welder is pretty controllable and predictable, as well.The overall build quality is good. I can't attest to the longevity of the battery or electronics, since I haven't had this welder long enough, but so far nothing I've seen hints at premature failure in any obvious way.This is a good welder for the home hobbyist and includes everything you need to get started and make some decent battery terminal spot welds.

This battery spot welder is easy to use although it took some practice to achieve consistent welds. I find that if I hold the probs too tightly on the battery strip it would make a weak weld or it wouldn't weld at all depending on the setting. Holding the probes lightly on the battery strips makes a more desirable and stronger weld. I also find that I need to change the gear setting often depending on how thick the metal is. I noticed that a lower setting is typically what I need to use for thin nickel strips on a lithium cell phone battery and a higher mode is needed to use for thick steel strips on battery cells. This also requires some practice before use as the welder will occasionally make holes in the strips if the setting is too high.The spot welder has been helpful to use for joining 18650 cells together whereas I would previously use solder which isn't great. It's able to make strong and low resistance connections to batteries and when the settings are set correctly, I need to use a pair of pliers to remove the nickel strip from the batteries I welded. This ends up tearing the nickel strip around the welds instead of breaking or removing the spot welds.I like that this also has an option to use a single lead while using the clamp on the spot welder as well as an option to use both leads for welding directly on cells. The leads feel to be of good quality as they are thick and they fit tightly in the sockets. The insulation feels to be made of silicone and it's quite soft and pliable. The build quality of the spot welder also feels good although it's primarily made of a lightweight hard plastic. It's convenient that this is portable as it uses its own battery and doesn't require using a large car battery for a power supply. Overall this is a good spot welder for hobby use and I find that it's much faster and makes stronger connections compared to solder.

I have a number of power tool batteries that will not keep a charge after the charger signals it's fully charged. Most power tool batteries are made from a number of smaller battery cells. They are connected in series and in parallel to meet the voltage and amp-hour specification. When a power tool battery fails to work, it's most likely due to one or more of the battery cells not working. If you replace the non-functional cell(s), this usually helps fix a power tool battery and makes it useable again. The cells are connected with a metal strip connecting the other battery cell terminals. T o connect the metal strips to the battery cell terminals, you will need a spot welder. The Awgem spot welder is the perfect welder to spot-weld the metal strips to the battery terminals.This spot welder is housed in a portable rectangle case that includes a battery for creating the spot weld. The battery is charged using a USB Type A to Type C cable, which is included in the box. The welder also doubles as a power bank.During the spot welding process, you can select between 11 power (gear) settings. I found a gear setting of 6 worked out well for me. I used the provided nickel plated strips to weld the strips on to the battery terminals.There's a label on the case that specifies a max output for a spot weld. It uses 650A at 4.2V. This is probably the maximum gear setting of 11. When I tried a gear setting of 11, the weld created a hole in the strip that did not create a strong hold.The welder includes two 50 cm welding cables/needles. The cable is thick. It's 8 AWG (200 degrees) according to the information written on the cable. The cable is not stiff; it 's very flexible and lets you position the cable/needle in any position.The needle has a fine point and looks to be made of copper. During the welding process, I do see the tips being scorched . The provided sandpaper helps clean the scorched tips, and leaves a shiny copper tip.This spot welder provides a work area for swapping battery packs. To help with the battery swap terminal connection, the welder buckle and welder holder let me create a single needle spot weld. Two fixed magnets keep the packs attached to the work area.Overall, this is a very good spot welder for making and fixing your battery packs.

I started harvesting and rebuilding 18650 and 21700 batteries years ago, and even though there's risk involved with the whole process, it's a great way to recycle (reuse) battery cells or to fix larger battery packs with faulty cells.That said, you need a spot welder to create a series of cells, and this one is a great little portable option for doing it!I love that this unit is compact, so it can be used on a smaller workbench. As it is battery powered, it can also be used "in the field" for remote repair work, too.One missed opportunity is that it doesn't use replaceable batteries (like the cells you're welding!). That said, it seems to be doing the job without much concern over the power or battery life it offers.The controls are laid out as "gears" and "power", but power is just the battery level, while "gears" is the strength of the welder; the thicker the metal strips you are welding, the higher the "gear". It's not intuitive from a labelling standpoint, but it's easy to understand with use.You do get both an automatic and manual mode option, which is helpful if you aren't getting the best results.I have only used this to spot weld cylindrical battery cells, but not flat pack (i.e. smartphone) batteries. Really, this can be used for a wide range of applications, and repair work.At the time of this review, there's no price in the listing, which makes it hard to say whether it offers a good value or not.
