Highly recommended. Game changer for aquarium owners. No more carrying heavy bowls of water. No more big splashes of water on the floor. Once you get the hang of it to get the water flowing through the pipe, you can just sit down and monitor the amount of water you want removed from the tank. Get this product. Love it. I had to wait a little time for delivery but be patient, worth the wait.

So easy. 50ft of hose. You can also buy a hook separately for this. I have it hooked to my bathroom sink. Just had to take the aerator off.All you gotta do is put the vacuum in the tank and go turn the tap on until the water goes all the way to the tap and then you can turn of the tap. The suction is good enough to keep sifting the water. No need to waste water!! Most people dont know this. Once your done emptying, either put the hook on or if you dont have one, switch the green part on the tap part to fill and turn the tap back on. Add your conditioner directly to your tank before your start filling.Great quality hose, attachment are useful. All fish keepers with tanks bigger than 20 gallon tanks should have this!

I heard about this product for years but as I live in Australia it's not sold here so I never gave it much thought. After years of struggling with buckets, I saw many YouTube videos of North American fish keeper using the Python to change water with ease. I had a look on amazon and saw prime has these at a reasonable price including shipping to Australia, so I bought one. I have not looked back since, its the best money I have spent on a fish keeping accessory in my 15 years in the hobby.Note as I live in Australia, I had to buy adaptors to connect to our taps/hoses. I used both the hoselink us caravan adaptors and Bunnings north American sprinkler adaptor. Both worked with no issues, however the sprinkler adaptor connected to our garden hoses was the easiest.I now do 75-90 % water changes on all my 200litre+ tanks with ease. I use water conditioner (dose for the entire tank once) as the water is going into the tank and have had no issues (including with baby fish and my sensitive German blue rams). My nitrates are super low and tanks crystal clear. You can do less say 50% if you are worried about shocking your fish.In my opinion after filters and air stones, this is the most important accessory you could buy for a freshwater tank of greater than say 60 liters.Get one, it's worth the effort of adapting it your tap/water system. It will save your back and your fish will be much happier.

After reading reviews on this Python water changer and the Aqueon one, I was rather torn between the two. Eventually, I went with the Python and haven't regretted my decision at all. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and have no issues doing water changes for our 55 gallon tank which would have been pretty much impossible for me if I'd had to haul buckets back and forth. If you want the short and sweet version, just buy this now. It's the best investment I have made other than the fish themselves. A few notes below...1) I have a Delta kitchen faucet and there was no way to connect it to this, not even with adapters from home improvement stores, just due to how the aerator is supposed to seal on the faucet. Well, it could connect, but it leaked like crazy and was far less effective. Thankfully, I was able to use the brass adapter that came with the product on my bathroom faucet and that's the one I use for the water changes now.2) I've noticed that the suction isn't the greatest, regardless of whether I leave the water running in the bathroom while vacuuming or not (you can turn the water off once the suction has been established). It's manageable but I find myself reaching for my normal siphon and a bucket to "pre-clean" if there are particularly dirty areas. This is probably due to there not being a great difference in height between the tank and bathroom sink. Again, works well enough most of the time, just not when I'm feeling really OCD about seeing debris sitting on top of my sand.3) The hose itself is very pliable which is awesome and makes the process very easy. 50 feet is a bit of a pain to roll up again, though. I am tempted to get a hose reel but that may or may not work well since I have to go pretty slowly and raise the coil above the sink level to get it to drain excess water in the hose when I'm finished. Minor annoyance given how much time and effort this thing saves me otherwise.4) Construction is solid. Yes, some pieces are plastic but they're pretty heavy duty. As long as you don't try to he-man the connection when you screw it on, you can get a tight fit with no leaks and no plastic cracking or breaking. Even if you do, there are replacement parts which is great and saves me from having to buy an entirely new one in the future.5) I saw a few complaints about the refill process, but again, no issues for me. I temperature match the water, reverse the flow so it starts to fill the tank and let it run. You can continue temperature testing if your water supply can't hold a steady temperature, but that's not the fault of the device. As it fills, I occasionally add 1/4 tsp of Seachem Prime until I reach the total dose for my tank. If you have a saltwater tank, well... your mileage will probably vary.Overall, I'd say I can be done with a 50% water change in 15 or 20 minutes. Totally worth it and I'm sure my fish are happier with more regular and quicker water changes!
