Although a little bigger than I expected, the oiler is quality made, has no leaks, and the pump works fine.However I fully support the opinion of other reviewers that with the oiler as it is, precise dosage is impossible due to large amount of force needed to activate the pump. As soon as you overcome the initial friction to activate the pump, it squirts a whole pump's worth of oil in a single uncontrollable shot.Luckily, it is very simple to correct using small modification as shown in the photo. A piece of bent wire has been put under the lever to change the pivot point. That increases the leverage and now just a very light press is sufficient to activate the pump. On top of that, the travel of the pump until the original pivot point is reached is very small, which makes it squirt just a couple drops of oil per single press. I used 1.8 mm wire. Works like a charm!Similar effect could also be obtained by bending the lever to move the pivot point, which would be more intrusive modification.In summary, a good oiler if you don’t mind correcting yourself the obvious design mistake.

Ein qualitativ guter Öler, jedoch gefällt mir die schwergängigkeit des Pumpmechanismusses nicht sonderlich. Genaues dosieren wird so eher zum Glücksspiel. Vielleicht legt sich das mit etwas Nutzung noch, daher ein Stern abzug.
