Been using it every day for weeks - works as expected. It's a little wobbly (falls on its side easily) which reduces the convenience quite a bit. Also, the pad on the bottom prevents it from slipping, but this inhibits the ability to slide the stop around to change the door position. So, as long as you don't mind bending over to fuss with it by hand (or wasting a bunch of time trying to do it with your foot) - this is a great door stop for those big gap situations.

You name it, and I’ve used it as a makeshift doorstop. Holding a door open is “easy”, but this door stop is extremely clever and a much better option. By being spring loaded, it fits a wide range of doors AND locks in very securely. You step on it flat until it wedges in under the door. Then it expands to fit perfectly. It’s got rubber to create a nice grip to the floor. It’s lightweight, but can hold the heaviest of doors, and even provide a defensive resistance.I bring it to hotels to lock in at night. My star ratings explained:5 stars = Exceptional. I recommend to friends.4 stars = Exceeded expectations.3 stars = Met expectations. Satisfied with purchase but not overwhelmed.2 stars = Failed to meet expectations but usable.1 star = Avoid

I ordered a second copy of this doorstop because I liked the first one so much. It works much better than a regular rubber doorstop. My travel partner wrote, “This fancy doorstop went straight into my travel bag” (after a short test). From my review of the first doorstop: I travel with a friend who uses a mobility scooter. In some hotel rooms, the intro hallway does not have enough room for me to hold the door open so she can scooter by.On a recent trip, the hotel door was heavy and, of course, auto-closing. This doorstop did a great job for us. Unfortunately, you can’t kick it around on the floor to get it in place, because of the upper and lower rubber surfaces. That’s the whole reason it stays in place on hard-surface floors. Easy enough to bend down and put it in place a couple of times a day.Back at home, this doorstop works well for holding open a lightweight delivery door that has a high threshold, with a big gap between floor and door. This doorstop is a little pricey, but well worth the convenience it provided while travelling.Rating: excellentMy scale: 5 star = excellent (or has a special feature), 4 star = good/ very good (does what it should), 3 star = average (or has a minor flaw), 2 star = below average (multiple flaws or does not perform its function well), 1 star = avoid (does not fulfill its mission). I rarely use the term ‘perfect’ and I rarely assign 5 stars.

length: 5 inchesheight: 3 inchesBefore I got this, I used a 15 pound dumbbell as a door stop because this door is so low to the ground that all other door stops can't wedge in. This one can't either, BUT, the grippy bottom and its weight is good enough to hold the door in place without wedging underneath. But since this door opens inwards and I have another door that opens inward that goes to the backyard, the backyard door is a couple of inches elevated. That's where the height of this door stop works perfectly. The extra gap between the floor and door was no match for this door stop, and since both doors are close enough to each other, I can use this one door stop hold both door open. Awesome product, just don't spend too much holding it in your hand as the metal in certain parts are quite sharp. I didn't get any cuts, but certainly not a toy.
