Our house was a rental before we bought it and our garden had been neglected. As a result we have some very hard clay soil, that still contains some pretty big chunks of rubble.I recently dug out some roots and broke two spades doing it.These have coped really well with our soil and I have used them to plant in a neglected area of our garden which has roots and rubble. They worked really well and complement each other pretty well.I start with the smallest bladed spade and use that to break up the soil and deal with any roots or rubble, then use the larger spades to dig a hole to plant in.They are pretty sturdy and I am confident they won’t be easy to break

We were looking for something extremely heavy duty to try and help us tackle an invasive bamboo situation in our garden (it’s been a nightmare!).We inherited the bamboo in our garden and we had no idea how problematic it could be, if not controlled properly. We have spent a considerable amount of time trying to “tame it“ but it seems like a 24/7 job!In order to make this process easier there was no spade, shovel around suitable to do the job.So, we spent a lot of time researching products that might help do this job and ultimately stumbled across the RootSlayer range. We did see others that might work but none of them looked nearly robust enough! They are made, or manufactured, in France and initially there were concerns about incurring custom duty costs. However, before ordering we checked the sales and were reassured that this would not happen. We can confirm that this was correct we didn’t have to pay any additional tutors. This 3 pack we purchased pack comprised multifunction tools.Tye RootSlayer™ : It has sharp end and sharp sides like mini saws! We’ve only just started to use it but you can use it to dig, saw, cut and slice roots.A RootSlayer Perennial Shovel™ : This has a shorter head (but still the mini saws at the edges) allowing you to work in small surface areas..The one shot shovel RootSlayer™: This was probably less useful for our current needs as feels like a mini excavator! But it will make short work of any digging, that’s for sure! From a position of being very nervous about buying this product, everything went incredibly smoothly with no surprise costs and very quick delivery considering it was being shipped from France. They are extremely good quality and for anyone looking for really heavy duty work in the garden tackling things like bamboo I would highly recommend this product range.
