Perfect fit replacement anode for my RV water heater.

I tried for for 15 minutes trying to intall this anode rod on my suburban hot water heater. However, the threads do not appear to be proper NPT (tapered) and will not start. I bought another brand and it solved my problem.

Mostly I replace the anode every two years. After a 3.5 month trip to Alaska, it was time to make the replacement. I used thread sealant tape and the anode went in fine finishing up the winterization of the camper. I keep a spare in the camper in case I forget to buy one so I can complete the end of the season activities.
