For a budget dropper post, this one is just fine. Internally-routed is the way to go if you have the money for it, but this is better than nothing.This seat post appears to be well-made. The post is machined with micro-texture, so that it doesn't have a chance to move under load. The drop trigger doesn't feel extremely crisp (not as crisp as a Fox Transfer post), but it also doesn't feel sloppy at all.

This is a 27.2 mm lever-actuated suspension dropper post. It’s quick and easy to install since there’s no cable to run. The suspension is provided by a relatively short spring that sits under the gas-charged strut and there’s a preload adjustment that requires a 10mm hex key. The preload adjustment is only about 10mm long too. The dropper is easy to operate, but I wasn’t a fan of how the seat bolts work. The front bolt is tightened using a knurled nut while the rear bolt is tightened with a 5mm hex key. Hopefully the nut doesn’t come loose. The dropper post is easy to disassemble for servicing, but the keys that keep the seat from moving side-to-side are plastic whereas they’re usually brass in most other droppers. Over time the plastic will wear down and I’m not sure if replacements are available. The dropper post weighs in at 707g which seems about right for how it’s made. As far as longevity, I’ll have to come back and update the review after several months. But for now, I’m looking forward to a slightly smoother ride and the ability to get the saddle out of the way for the more technical downhills.

Going from a solid seat post to this adjustable one has been a great upgrade. I did not want to route new wires in to my bike and these were just what I needed. The lever adjustment is easy and quick to adjust when needed. The dropper post itself has minimal wobble and provides plenty of height adjustment with near zero sag. Definitely simple to install for big improvement in comfort and adjustability.

I've been wanting to try a dropper for a while now, but my bike doesn't have a way to route cables internally. This one seemed like a perfect solution.Out of the box, this operated as expected. Lift the lever, and you can force the post down; lift it again, and the post extends back to its maximum length.On the bike, though, it's another story. There are two main problems:1) The arrangement for tightening the seat mount is terrible. Instead of the usual front and back screw, it has a THUMBWHEEL mounted ABOVE the rails for the front adjustment. When the seat is in place, this is essentially unusable; it's nearly impossible to reach, and when you do reach it, it takes more torque than my fingers can provide. I've got to position it according to my best guess, then tighten with the back screw. On my first ride, that screw apparently wasn't tight enough, and the seat kept shifting.2) The lever hits the bottom of my Selle seat when I try to activate it. SOMETIMES I can squeeze/pull it hard enough to move the post, but usually I can't. If I need to stop the bike to fiddle with it, I might as well just use a regular post and adjust it with a wrench.It's possible that I'm doing something wrong, but since the post ships with ZERO instructions, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to figure that out. I see that there's a preload adjustment on the bottom, but I don't know whether that's for the drop action or for the shock absorbing function. Even if it's what I need, it takes a huge hex wrench to make the adjustment; I don't know exactly what size (again, no instructions), but I know it's a lot larger than any of the hex wrenches I have.It's possible that this will work well for some bikes and riders, but for me, it's been a big disappointment.
