This works very well to enhance the 3D scan produced from items with difficult surfaces.I use it for detecting artifacts so it is important that no residue remains. As can be seen from the pictures it coats nicely to give a good finish which scans very well.It slowly fades over about 2 hours until it has all disappeared and seems to leave no residue.Good value effective spray.

Works great. Precision nozzle is more useful than you may appreciate. Large/normal nozzles prevent the spray reaching certain areas. This solves that and removes scanner blind spots. I will use it infrequently, just for those crannies the big spat can't reach - but beware, all these scanner sprays have a sell by date. Discovered that the hard expensive way!

3d scanners are amazing tools, especially how they allow anyone to create 3d models without any 3d modelling experience. But these scanners have a slight problem, they can't scan dark and black areas very well. Plus they can struggle with objects that have a reflective surface. So you need to coat the object being scanned with something light, preferably white. You could use a spray can of white paint, but that means the object will always be white forever. Which wouldn't be good news for a medieval bracelet. One cheap standby is talcum powder, though it can be a time consuming process to remove all the powder from cracks and crevices. Plus sometimes items can't washed either. Fortunately some well clever people have invented scanning sprays like this and this one is a good one.Unlike other sprays, this only applies a nice light fine misting of the white coating, whereas others can apply a heavy coating. Plus this coating evaporates after a few hours leaving nothing behind. Which this makes very suitable for medical scanning, especially for dental work.So as a product for scanning it's almost an essential choice, however it's also very expensive and you only get a small tin. But it's still worth getting for occasional use.
