I own 4 or 5 different pairs of Sealskinz. Different ones for different seasons, and each of them different lengths. I was recently working far from home on a TV show where the set was a rain-soaked mud pit for 2 months straight.Unfortunately, in the first week of filming, the pair I had brought with me failed. No biggy, they'd been going strong for years and finally developed holes in the heels.I accidentally ordered these summer socks (lighter than winter ones, of course) in a hurry to get them ASAP for filming, but it didn't matter. They still did the job, and for the remainder of the series shoot, I had bone dry feet. My costume boots were atrocious old cracked leather things that filled up with water from just walking across a morning, dewey field. But the Skinz kept me dry.I recommend any variant of Sealskinz. I've owned several and after many, many years of filming battles in terrible weather, so far only that one pair I mentioned has failed, and I got more than my money's worth from them.The pair that I'm actually reviewing? Brilliant, as standard. If you do any kind of outdoor activities, especially in Ireland, where I live, and you don't own at least 2 pairs of sealskinz... Well, I'm sorry to tell you this, but you're doing life wrong.Get some Sealskinz. They may seem pricey for a pair of socks, but they're not just a pair of socks. They're confidence and relief in foot-wrap form.

Ich habe am 27.12.23 diese Socken erhalten und sie heute am 2.1.24 angezogen. Und ungelesen nach über 5 Std Dauerregen waren die Füsse immer noch trocken.Also wirklich total toll.

Have used multiple times in varying wet, windy, cold, warm. Stand up to most conditions well.Comfortable to wear although no stretch. I don't wash them often to increase longevity but they do wash/dry well.

These socks are definitely water proof but they are not breathable enough, very hot and prone to creating blisters.Here is a picture of my foot after wearing these socks for 10 hours.I had no contact with water. My feet are soaking wet and my skin absorbed a lot of moisture. This is my own sweat!! These socks trap a lot of moisture.Even though I’ve chosen the summer version, my feet were cooking!!I’m in the middle of a trip and decided to go to a shop and just buy regular cotton socks. So much better. My feet can finally breathe.I recommend these socks only if you are pretty sure that you might have to step on water, rainy day, preferably cold climate, and in any case no longer than 4 hours of you are planning to sweat.The fit is strange. They are not as elastic as regular cotton or synthetic socks. There is less stretch and they can bunch up on your feet creating blisters.I’m giving 2 stars because they are water proof.However the other characteristics advertised in this product are not accurate.I bought 3 pairs and will send them back.
