I had purchased this shark knowing that it was good as I had the exact Shark one beforeThe one before lasted for years and worked perfectly but was very old and stopped working. I The steamer does a great job and does not leave the floor wet and I recommend it The only thing is its not a stand upright and would suggest that Shark could change that but overall very happy

I have only used this steam mop once so this is my initial summary. On the whole this is a good steam mop. The instructions are good and it is simple to put together. Not too heavy, seems quite well made, and is manoeuvrable. The one thing that really lets it down for me is that there is no on/off switch. If, say, you are using it with an extension lead and have to break off mopping for some reason, you have to get to the socket to turn it off. I know that's not a big deal but would have been so much better with an on/off switch. Also, it doesn't stand up. It has to be leant against something when not in use. But it cleans really well and, even on high steam, it doesn't leave the floor too wet.

Only given four stars as the handle doesn’t stay upright when not in use. (Maybe I should have read the description better)The machine itself is good, cleans well and the pads are easy to wash and replace.
