My vintage 1995 Cannondale M500 had Dia-Compe 986 cantilever brakes that were in bad shape. I initially tried to replace them with an exact match. Except that the product I received from a bike shop wasn't exactly the same, causing a lot of frustration.After reading a lot of bike forums, I decided to replace the cantilever brakes with V-brakes. Apparently those two things are different. I'm still learning. I scrapped my "keep it original" plans and went instead with the Shimano BR-T4000 V-Brake.Installation was super quick and easy. The brakes slid right in and were easy to adjust with the right amount of spring tension. I struggled a little bit to find the sweet spot on the cable to have enough distance from the wheel rim, but also clasp tightly when applied. Eliciting some help from the local bike shop, it was revealed that the combination shifter-brake levers were not properly adjusted. I probably would have been better off going to separate shifter and brake levers, but that's on me.For rim brakes I would definitely buy these again. My own lack of experience aside, they are of high quality and have some serious stopping power when properly adjusted. The quick release is much easier than the setup that I previously had on the bike. The price is amazing, too. Normally you don't get an actual OEM brand name part in this price range. Kudos to Shimano for keeping their prices fair for cycling fans.

Endlich kann ich wieder ordentlich mit der Vorderbremse bremsen. Alles passt so wie soll. Der Austausch der alten Bremse war kein Problem. Ich würde diese Bremse wieder kaufen und kann sie empfehlen.

Nachdem die Bremsanlage am MTB meines Sohnes gebrochen war, ging es daran das Fahrrad wieder flott zu machen.Ich habe die Bremsen gleich für vorne und hinten bestellt und mit großer Freude am nâchsten Tag erhalten.Die Bremse war gut verpackt und innerhalb weniger Minuten montiert.Die Bremse sieht gut aus und lässt sich sehr gut einstellen !.die beiliegenden Beläge "greifen gut" in der Felge, nutzen sich nicht innerhalb weniger Tage ab und tun was sie sollen... Bremsen 😊.Ich würde die Bremsen immer wieder kaufen... Vielleicht nicht für die Tour der France oder den Downhill Bereich, aber sonst definitiv mehr als ausreichend.

Spitzenbremse. Ich habe die Bremse an ein Kick-Bike gebaut. Da sieht man wirklich, was Qualität ist. Ruck-Zuck eingestellt und bremst wie eine eins. Da sah die No-Name Bremse aber richtig alt gegen aus. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Im Vergleich zu den uralten bremsen meines Hollandrades sind diese wirklich super.Einziges Manko ist die Passgenauigkeit, siehe Bilder:Die alte Feder hat einen deutlich längeren Pin, welcher im Rahhmen steckt und die Feder vorspannt. Dieser ist bei shimano deutlich kürzer. Ebenfalls ist die abgesetzte einsteckhülse (kanns nicht besser benennen) kürzer, wodurch sich die Bremsanlage nicht vollständig auf den Rahmen schieben lässt und ein spalt bleibt. Der kurze pin steckt so geradenoch im vorspannloch und nicht wie er sollte ca. 3mm tiefer drin mit etwas überstand.Klingt komisch, ist aber so.Da das problem jedoch speziell bei meinem uralt fahrrad auftritt und ich evtl auch das falsche produkt gekauft habe, gibts nur einen stern abzug. Es funktioniert ja trotzdem!

Come premessa posso dire che solo la marca shimano ti garantisce una qualità pazzesca.Questi freni li ho di comprarli per una MTB full da trail vecchia che ne montava due di plastica che erano gommosi e non frenavano.MaterialiQuesti freni sono fatti di un materiale metallico ultraleggero (presumibilmente alluminio) al tatto molto piacevole vista la finitura lucida, le viti sono di alluminio con autobloccante già applicato.ConfezioneLa confezione arriva munita di prodotto e manuale d'uso, come si vede nella foto le parti piccole vengono conservate in una bustina.ServizioLa spedizione è stata veloce e il pacco è stato consegnato nei tempi previsti sotto forma di confezione di cartone contenente le due confezioni dei freni (originali Shimano).ProvaDopo averli montati ho subito notato la qualità di questi freni (se regolati bene), la leva del freno non era più gommosa ed aveva un fine corsa preciso e non troppo lungo, ovviamente la frenata comincia un istante prima del finecorsa poi diventa regolabile tramite la pressione sulla leva del freno. Durante il montaggio del cavo freno vi avverto che nel passacavo metallico è presente del grasso per cavo freno che sarebbe opportuno applicare lungo tutto il cavo. Dopo il montaggio seguite la procedura di regolazione tramite le viti che sono presenti vicino al fulcro del freno.NoteSe il freno non entra del tutto nella sede, non preoccupatevi, sono progettati in quel modo.Il grasso è già applicato sul fulcro del freno.Questi freni vanno bene sia davanti sia dietro.ConclusioneSono soddisfatto dell'acquisto, ora posso tornare a percorrere trail in fuoristrada in discesa e curvare sgommando sia su sterrato sia asfalto.Il rapporto qualità prezzo è ben più alto delle mie aspettative, veramente un affare a questo prezzo.

Gekauft bei bikeparts.de: Gefühlt ein Rücklaufer: Karton total verbeult, Sichtfenster zugeklebt, Schrauben flogen lose im Karton herum.Bei Bremsen ziemlich unschön.... Sollte man beim Angebot erwähnen bzw den Preis entsprechend niedrig ansetzen.

Freinage agréable et progressif. Installation simple et surtout une fois réglé ne bouge plus.Rien à voir avec mes anciens freins de qualité inférieur.

ich würde diese Bremsen immer wieder kaufen. Beste Qualität für einen fairen Preis! Selbst nach etwa 6 Monaten sind die Beläge immer noch sehr gut!

Quality brakes - easy to install (after watching a couple YouTube videos just to make sure I am adjusting them and spacing them correctly. I am NOT a bike mechanic - but, I'm not afraid of trying to do things myself, and I figure, if I'm shifting from marathons to Sprint-->Olympic triathlon style events, I'm going to be on a bike a whole lot more (previously only when suffering a running injury)... hence, I better know how to fix things myself - if you're out on a ride and something breaks, you're the only one you can count on, just be prepared and knowledgeable.My other brakes weren't "bad" - but they were stock... I figure I can upgrade my brakes, brake lines, saddle, safety features, etc - all on my own - learn a skill and be self-sufficient - and have a little fun along the way.These brakes are easy - complete (have all the parts you need). They are of course sleek, classy/very sharp looking, operate flawlessly, and actually pretty easy to install. If you haven't before, and are thinking about it... just do it... these are inexpensive and very nice... the only thing is I wish I had ordered a rear set as well (when you buy the lines, it comes with lines for both front & back)... that way I KNOW they're both NEW and installed correctly... if not, then I can only blame myself!

Bei meinem Sohn ist an der Bremse die Verstellmöglichkeit der Federspannung ausgerissen. Im Fahrradgeschäft bekommt man nur ganze Räder.Da habe ich bei Amazon diese Bremsen entdeckt und bestellt. Sie waren innerhalb von einer vietel Stunde montiert und eingestellt und sie funkionieren einwandfrei. Warum sollte man mehr ausgeben?Danke

Shimano Alivio ist eine günstige,Alternative für Mountainbike Fahrer.Die Qualität ist hervorragend,und die bremse war schnell montiert,und funktioniert Super!Meine alte Bremse ist übrigens,an den Vibrationen und Erschütterungen,die beim fahren durch das Gelände Auftreten Kaputt gegangen.Sie hat es regelrecht zerschlagen.Nun hoffe ich,das ich mit dieser Bremse,lange Freude haben werde.Fazit: Klare Kaufempfehlung
