If you’re thinking about getting into sewing knit fabric, this is a wonderful starting point. I used a combination of my sewing machine and serger, but you can easily sew it completely with your sewing machine. Get to know your sewing machine’s triple stitch, sew everything first with a basting stitch and then sew over the basting stitch with a triple stitch. Viola! I hacked the pattern and made a matching jacket. I also made the dress using the burrito method to make the dress reversible (inside out reversible, not back to front reversible). This will be a pattern that I use again and again.

I have made the racer back long dress for my daughter and the short dress for myself. I found the pattern a good size (use your usual dress size). I also managed to fit sleeves on one with ease.A tip .. Don't cut the pattern out unless you are the only one you are sewing for. I use tracing paper. If you put on or loose weight you can still use the pattern.A very quick sew.
