I bought this on my partner’s account, and I have no idea what the other reviewers were expecting of this lovely tree skirt, but with its beautiful ruffles and natural rustic material it works perfectly in our English country cottage and I am thrilled to bits with it!This is the first year I have had a faux tree and I wanted to cover the metal base but didn’t want one of the bulky willow tree base covers that seem to be so popular now.Other reviewers talk about the fabric being rough and ‘stinking’...but it quite clearly says in the description that it’s burlap or ‘hessian’ as we call it here in the UK which is a natural material and although it barely smells at all, the very faint smell is the same as all other hessian products that I’ve ever owned and I certainly can’t smell it in the room!With regards to the creases that others mention, why would you expect wrinkles to just drop out on their own?! It comes carefully vacuum packed and it took me no time at all using a gentle iron with a tea towel over the top of it to get it looking pristine… in fact I’ve probably ironed the ruffles a bit too flat so will need to soften them again a bit!The neck of the tree mat is slightly wider than my tree needed and so I pinned it tighter around the ‘stalk’ of the tree and overlapped it slightly and it’s absolutely perfect. The pictures honestly don’t do it justice.So if you are after the natural cottage core look and want something that doesn’t take up any space to store during the year, I can 100% recommend this product, I love it!

Der Teppich fühlt sich absolut nicht schön an, stinkt nach Chemie und fusselt extrem. Habe versucht ihn im schonwaschgang zu waschen, danach war das gefussel noch extremer, der Teppich löste sich auf und der Gestank war immer noch vorhanden. Musste leider direkt in den Müll.

Der Geruch ist wirklich wie aus eine Chemie Fabrik. Die Falten gehen auch kaum raus - wirklich eine Frechheit für fast 20€

Liegt jetzt seit 4 Tagen draußen zum auslüften da ich es so nicht im Haus behalten kann und riecht immer noch extrem.Sollte der Geruch nicht bald verfliegen werde ich ihn wohl zurück senden.
