I use a monopod as a walking stick in my rambles exploring beautiful places and looking for wildlife. It provides extra security as I negotiate steep inclines and uneven ground, and I can use it as a camera support too. I have a number of monopods, and I also have a Benro tripod that has a removable leg that doubles as a walking stick. One of the clamps broke on the monopod that had become my favorite for use as a walking stick - an old Manfrotto aluminum, which I liked fro its lightweight, extended length, sturdiness when extended, and wrist strap with a belt clip. The Benro leg is a little short and it slips if I really need to lean on it. I have a big Sirui and an iFootage, both of which are sturdy, but bigger than I like, and the iFootage has no provision for hanging it on my belt. This monopod seems like the perfect replacement for the Manfrotto, and an upgrade at that. It's more compact and lightweight when collapsed, and longer and sturdier when extended. In fact, I usually don't extend it all the way to use it as a walking stick. It has a wrist strap and carabiner, allowing me to hang it on my belt. I don't think I'm likely to use the compass, but it might come in handy, and it's not in the way. I was a little leery of the six short sections, expecting that it might be less stiff than one with fewer sections. It may be, but it's plenty stiff. Overall, both as a camera support and a support for camera operator, I highly recommend this monopod.

I picked up the SIRUI AM-326M carbon-fiber monopod a couple of days ago and gave it a quick test run at home. Here are my initial thoughts: This monopod is a solid basic option, especially if you can snag it at a discounted price like I did — just under 60 Euros.Let's start with the positives:Pros:Lightweight: For its height and stability, this monopod is impressively light, weighing in at about 400 grams. Even when you add a small ball head or video head (like the SmallRig CH20-4170), it remains a lightweight yet stable setup.Good Height: Fully extended, this monopod should provide enough height for users up to about 190 cm (around 6'5") with a camera mounted on top.Compact: It folds down to just under 40 cm, which is roughly the size of an average daypack.Durable Enough for Most Needs: It can easily support average-sized prosumer DSLRs and mirrorless cameras (like the Fuji XT-series or Sony Alpha series) with larger lenses attached. It feels sturdy for a budget option.Cons:No Foot Attachment: There’s no foot included, nor is there an option to attach one.Limited Longevity: Given the budget-friendly price point, don’t expect this monopod to last more than a few years, especially with regular use. It's clear this is a more affordable option. Not for Heavy Gear: It’s not designed to handle larger, professional video heads. Anything bigger than the suggested video head or a similar-sized ball head might make using this monopod frustrating. I haven’t tested it with heavier setups, but I wouldn’t recommend it based on the build.Twist Locks: The twist locks on each leg segment emit a rather cheap-sounding clicking noise when turned. This could be an early indication of a potential failure point down the line.Overall, I would definitely recommend this monopod for amateur photographers, filmmakers, and content creators who need a lightweight, affordable monopod for occasional use. Just bear in mind that it’s best suited for average-sized cameras and lenses. For a bit of context, I also own an older carbon-fiber tripod from Rollei, and the SIRUI monopod feels quite similar in terms of construction, material, and overall build quality. Both products probably come from the same manufacturer. My Rollei tripod’s center column did bend slightly after years of moderate use and some rough handling during air travel, but it has still been quite reliable overall. I expect this SIRUI monopod to offer similar durability and usefulness under similar conditions. One final note: there's a small compass attached to the lanyard of this monopod - Please don’t ever rely on it. If you need accurate directions, use a good compass app instead.Hope this helps.

Very compact, light weight and sturdy. The locks are quarter turn so easy to engage and disengage. The sections can be deployed quickly and without fuss. Very light, easy to carry. Solid at full extension - I use it as a walking stick and I'm >6'2" and >300lbs.One minor complaint - the foot that contacts the ground slips a little at the end of a stride/pushoff. If the material were a bit softer it would be 100% perfect, instead of 98%.I'll be getting the tripod base soon. Looking forward to it.

Lovely monopod! Easy to carry, and set up in a an instant. Very mobile, sleek and the grips on the handles feel great. I used it on a shoot recently and really liked the ease of it all.

Sehr leichtes, super stabiles Einbeinstativ! Sehr klein zusammenschiebbar, trotzdem wackelt nichts!

Sehr stabil. Tolle Qualität.
