For openers - I got more than I expected... and that might have been a mistake in my shipment - or it might be a change in the included parts with these cages. In any event - I wasn't expecting the small mounting plate you see in the images... but I was expecting the larger one of which I have mounted on the side of the cage for portrait orientation. [EDIT - UPDATE: I discovered that the small plate that I wasn't expecting is part of another package for a camera strap - my mistake! The small plate does NOT come with this cage from SIRUI.]Of all my cages - this one is the most comfortable to my right hand. The grip is deep - more like how a dslr feels. The rubberized wrap is textured and has a good grip feel to it. In addition to the aforementioned larger mounting plate - this cage also includes an HDMI cable clamp. This clamp is essential when outputting to a monitor or recorder, as the ZV-E1 uses a mini-HDMI system which is weak and subject to failure if not locked down. The cage is also prepped for use with a dummy battery, as there is a 'swing out' in the frame that allows the battery door to swing fully open. When you consider the other features of this cage... it appears that SIRUI is trying to provide a good stable platform for studio use - and do it at a reasonable price. All things considered - I'm giving this five stars.

If you’re reading this, don’t waste any more time. You’re here to see if this product does what you, a photographer/videographer, needs in a cage/grip. The answer is it does, handsomely and comfortably. Sirius marries form and function on this product and I could not be happier. I just wish I had something like this on my Sony ZV-E10 as well because this is hands down a MUST HAVE accessory.

Der Käfig passt sehr gut zur Sony ZV-E1, insbesondere mit Sony-Mikrofonen. Das ist der Hauptgrund, warum ich es empfehle.

This is a really well-made and ergonomic full-cage for the Sony ZV-E1. I like the grip which is rubber and I also really like the fact that an extra Arca Swiss mount was included to be mounted on either the left or right side. This is really useful when I make my videos for Social Media and need a vertical rather than horizontal (or landscape) view. The aluminum material feels very light and solid, and there are many points on all sides to mount additional equipment. There are two cold shoes on the top, and the ability to attach a small additional screw that helps manage the HDMI cable when it's connected. Overall, a really superb piece of gear that I recommend!

EPIC CAGE & RIG FOR ANY SONY SHOOTER TAKING THEIR PHOTOGRAPHY TO THE NEXT LEVEL: 10 STARSSIRUI: THE PINNICAL OF DESIGN, CREATIVITY, AND CARBON FIBER TRIPODS.SIRUI:If you've never heard of the company, it's a unique name, and they make some of the best tripods, if not the best tripods in the world.I OWN five tripods: Two are the same but have different versions of ball heads.ALL PAID FOR $1,500+They are aesthetically beautiful and designed for CNC manufacturing, and the industry's carbon layout is second to none.I've been riding carbon fiber cycling bikes for 15 years, and this is the best-looking carbon I've seen laid out for camera equipment. As soon as you say the name SIRUI to anybody in the photography industry, THEIR reputation is second to none in the amount of time invested into design, creativity, manufacturing, and product testing, and putting a product to market is the benchmark in the industry.I test many equipment for clients that shoot on specific systems, such as Sony, Nikon, Fuji, or Leica.I exclusively shoot Canon and debated going to Sony two years ago.Their cameras do not fit in my hand correctly, and that's with an extended grip on an A9.If you look at the design of the camera cage from the front, it's exceptionally well-balanced.The color is fantastic, and the sheer amount of screws and holes include great.4: 3/8 holes14: 1/4 holesA separate or Swiss plate with two mounting points, which is not customary in the industry, Allen wrench extra screw, and different mounting for cables. When you put this in your hand, it is the weight of it, and I mean that in a good way. Many companies try to lighten up cages to the point where it could be more practical, but this is balanced. They took much time to design this cage: I can tell from two different perspectives that the old-school D rings are now being phased out for flat screwdriver heads for the bolt underneath the camera. These are attached magnetically to the cage and solve many problems in the field when it comes to D rings not having a screwdriver to tighten up these challenging screws. The manufacturing of the magnet itself is something I've never seen.It has this brushed aluminum feel, with the center part with an S that looks like Superman. They are the Superman of photography because they make super products. You included a small, movable part that lets you access the battery. One cold shoe mount and screw mount to include a wide variety of accessories:External Microphone/Wireless4K screenTripodMonopodExtra Battery PackGoProGripsThe rubber piece underneath the camera is highly well-positioned; you do not get any vibration, and the camera sits right without overtightening.I've seen several people overtighten to the point where they end up breaking the one-fourth screw in their camera, and it's almost impossible to replace. They must get a new camera; be cautious: do not overtighten a bolt.Take your time, and there is no lock tightness needed.I have big hands, and the grip was ergonomically designed for somebody with smaller hands.Sony cameras are traditionally more comfortable for people with smaller hands who do not want an extended grip on their cameras.Because I've large hands, I use an extended grip, I like shooting at several angles, and you have an extra battery pack.Initial product testing with the camera for my client and trying various accessories on the rig, they will be pleased to shoot Podcasts, videography, interviews, and product videos. For anybody getting into shooting product videos, a cage makes sense because it allows you to attach an external microphone that's wireless or wired. It depends on which microphone you go with. The two microphones are a Zoom H6 with a stereo microphone and a RODE video mic pro-NTG with a stereo microphone. If you're looking for microphones, I highly recommend any stereo microphone from the top manufacturers.Regarding the durability o, I have 1000% confidence in the company that this will last you for several years. If you have any challenges, contact the company; they respond quickly. My tripods have taken a beating over the test of time the last five years, everything from Moab and Utah's high desert to extreme humidity and brutally cold weather with shooting time lapses.I cannot stress enough the value you're getting for your money with the company and cage; how much time and energy is put into the design and CNC manufacturing of a cage like this, which typically takes a year to design and bring to market.Feel free to check out any of their other products on their website.I highly recommend any of their carbon fiber tripods.Their lenses are excellent.I've also had their monopods and various cages for everything from a Canon R and purchased an R3I can't wait for the company to develop a cage for the flagship camera, which retails at $6000.If you have any questions, let me know, and I will post a 30-day follow-up soon.
