The Solo Stove Campfire Popcorn Maker was totally worth it. It seems more expensive compared to similar popcorn makers, but the materials and portability tipped the scales so I took a chance on it. I love it. This was one of the only ones I found where the basket could be removed for easier portability. The long handle is assembled with a Philips screwdriver and can be broken down if need be. Overall, this is quite sturdy and I made someone else hold it over the fire but the materials are great. With judicious shaking and good oil coverage, we had perfectly popped corn. In addition, we also popped this over a Solo Mesa XL, which has an opening that is nearly the exact same size as the popcorn maker, and it still worked great! Yeah, love this popcorn maker. Fell in love with Solo brand, but this also delivered.

I love this can be stored easily (even fits inside my solo stove ) handle is easy to put on and take off ,seems very durable, It heated evenly as most of my kernels were popped, and this def could be used for other things if needed , cleans well . Definitely has the nice look of other products made by this brand .

But finding Jiffy Pop has become a bit hit or miss lately, with my local grocery store no longer carrying it consistently. When I couldn’t find any, I decided to give this popcorn maker a try—and I’m so glad I did!The quality of the popcorn is fantastic—better than anything I’ve made with Jiffy Pop. The flavor is fresher, and the simple ingredients (just popcorn, oil, and salt) make it taste more natural and delicious. The design of the popper also makes cleanup easy. Once it cools down, it’s straightforward to clean, thanks to the stainless steel construction.The handle is long, sturdy, and well-built, keeping your hands safe from the fire. The overall construction feels solid and reliable, and the 3-quart capacity is perfect for my family.While I appreciated Jiffy Pop for its convenience, this popcorn maker has completely replaced it for me. Even when I can find Jiffy Pop in stores, I’d rather use the Solo Stove Campfire Popcorn Maker for its better quality popcorn and reusable design.If you’re a fan of camping or just love popping popcorn over a fire, this is absolutely worth picking up. So after much research, I decided to purchase this brand. It comes very well packaged with good instructions. The materials used are exceptional so it feels very sturdy and should last a lifetime. I bought the 2.5oz preportioned popcorn bags and these fill the popcorn maker perfectly. I made sure to shake the popcorn well before and during cooking and after 4 bags I got a consistent 99% pop rate. After I poured the popcorn in a bowl the popcorn maker is easy to clean with just a paper towel. Note, you will need a Phillips screwdriver to instal the handle.
