A simple but effective way of blanking a tap hole. The cover is well made and looks like mirrored chrome. The description says its stainless steel and certainly the weight would suggest its made of metal, but its not magnetic, although not all stainless steel has magnetic properties. Its easy to fit providing you have good access bellow the hole and comes with a rubber sealing washer, so once its tightened up using the wing nut it shouldn't leak.
