Spear & Jackson
Spear & Jackson verkauft seit 1760 Handwerkzeuge und Gartengeräte sowie Werkzeuge für Baugewerbe, Landwirtschaft und Landschaftsbau. Das Unternehmen wurde in der Stadt Sheffield gegründet, die für die Herstellung von Stahl, Besteck und Handwerkzeug berühmt ist und nach mehr als 250 Jahren immer noch unser Zuhause ist.
Bewässerung und Berieselung
Das Sortiment von Gartensprühgeräten von Spear & Jackson umfasst einen 2-Liter-, einen 5-Liter-, einen 8-Liter- und einen 15-Liter-Sprüher sowie einen 5-Liter-Holz-Sprüher, der auf die Holzbehandlung spezialisiert ist. Der Flächenregner hat 4 Monate funktioniert, danach war er defekt. Er bleibt auf einer Stelle stehen und oszilliert nicht mehr. Amazon verweist auf den Hersteller zur Garantieabwicklung, die Antwort von Spear & Jackson ist:"Unfortunately, this product does not carry any warranty past the first year with the retailer". Also dreht man sich im Kreis, Amazon verweist auf den Hersteller, der Hersteller verweist auf Amazon. Ich hätte nicht gedacht dass es so etwas bei einem Produkt dieser Preisklasse gibt. Daher ist meine Erfahrung dass ich keines der Produkte von Spear & Jackson bei Amazon mehr kaufen werde.

It was easy to connect to my hose pipe. The adjustments to control the spray area are easy to use. Not had it long but seems to be robust so pleased so far.

Two disappointing experiences with Hozelock sprinklers left me sprinklerless and with a very thirsty lawn. I had a good dig around for suitable alternatives and this stood out, simply because it wasn’t made entirely out of plastic.The metal construction feels solid, is heavy weight and includes a metal hose fitting. It instantly feels better quality than my previous purchases.In action the oscillation is smooth, has a good pace and has a nice wide spray pattern. I have reasonable water pressure; I barely have to open the tap to get the adequate spread for my 4m x 4m lawn. I haven’t tried it full cock but I imagine it has a very large spread for an oscillator.I imagine this will be more durable than my last plastic sprinkler and with a bit of annual maintenance should last for many years.I would happily recommend this product and I think the price is reasonable and reflects the quality.

Partiamo col dire che, visto il prezzo, aspettarsi in irrigatore di qualità era forse pretendere troppo.Arrivato imballato in uno scatolone sovradimensionato in cui ballava allegramente, aveva il tubo con gli ugelli girato sottosopra. Non so se per i colpi subiti nel trasporto o per essere stato assemblato alla ca..volo.Rimesso il tubo in posizione, provo a farlo funzionare, ma una delle due levette che delimitano il campo d'azione non oppone nessuna resistenza ed è come se non ci fosse. Quindi inutile.Per questo, l'ho restituito.Il motivo per cui l'ho restituito e non sostituito è che la sensazione di "baracca" è molto forte.Belli gli ugelli ma il tubo su cui sono fissati ha uno spessore ridicolo. Molto, troppo (!) in economia.Bello anche l'innesto rapido tutto metallico.La perplessità principale è il fatto che la struttura è piuttosto valida, realizzata in metallo, mentre la parte oscillante (tubo a parte) è in plastichina sottile, secca e apparentemente molto fragile. Infatti una delle levette era già andata.Anche il funzionamento è poco rassicurante, con l'oscillazione fluida in un verso e un po' tremolante nel ritorno.L'idea è che la struttura sia in metallo solo per questioni di stabilità (peso) ma tutto l'oggetto sia costruito molto in economia. In linea col prezzo.Una stella perchè è arrivato già non funzionante, altrimenti, considerando il prezzo, potevano essere du o tre.

Anfänglich hat er super funktioniert, jetzt nach mehreren Wochen bleibt er ständig auf einer Stelle stehen, was natürlich total nervig ist. Einstellen war anfangs schwierig weil keine Anleitung dabei ist, auch nicht im Internet zu finden. Zu zurück schicken wohl zu spät Das einzige gute, ist die stabile Metallkonstruktion, nutz einem aber nicht viel wenn der Regner nicht richtig funktioniert.

Bei zwei bestellten Sprinklern war einer gleich defekt.Er ließ sich nicht einstellen.Die Nachlieferung nach der Reklamation war in Ordung beide sind bei mir im Einsatz.Ich bin sehr zufrieden.P.S. Wenn der rote Wasserregulierknopf das Wasser ganz abstellen würde wäre das super und noch einfacher zu bedienen.

I never thought I would write a review for a sprinkler but having moved into a new build house with all the trial and tribulations associated with turf I thought I would make the effort to write this for like minded people trying to find a suitable sprinkler. In the last month I have bought and borrowed several different sprinklers, mostly from Hozelock, and been disappointed with them all mainly for 2 reasons. Firstly they do not seem to have the "legs" to spray water wide enough to cover my whole garden (an average town house garden) and secondly I found the equivalent oscillating sprinkler slipped it's setting until it did not oscillate properly without jamming a piece of card into the mechanism.With this S&J sprinkler its a joy to water the garden. Not only is it incredibly well made and feels like it will last a life time but it has a simple sliding switch to control the oscillation which has a positive click and a small dial to increase/decrease the range. Using the combination of the two you can really tailor the coverage exactly as you wish and whilst it's expensive compared to the plastic Hozelock models, this is money well spent, it's the sort of the item which your grandchildren will have off you in years to come.
