Fit snugly, & are made to last& are reasonably priced.Why look elsewhere ?

So disappointed, I bought these for my son to replace some Endurance+ trunks that he has had for years. These were advertised on the sellers page on Amazon as 100% chlorine resistant trunks. They are not as advertised, my son opened the package and read the label and nowhere on it it says they are 100% resistant. The label actually says that prolonged exposure to chlorine can damage the fabric as will sunlight.The care guide on the label states that the material is more resistant to chlorine and will hold it's shape for longer and look newer for longer but you need to wash the trunks as soon as you've used them and not to wash them with other items as the colour may transfer.On the whole I'm very disappointed that these trunks were misrepresented on the Amazon website. I know that if my son had bought them he would have read the whole page (where in the Speedo description about two thirds of the way down the page it states the label information) and not just the top of the page where it states 100% chlorine resistant. That's on me, I mistakenly trusted the headlines.The trunks themselves are very well made and look great. The typical quality you'd expect for Speedo. If you're a casual swimmer and only an occasionally user of them they will be a good buy. Only time will tell if they last longer that ordinary swimwear, I don't hold out much hope. Chlorine is unforgiving...These trunks are made from 100% recycled materials so that's got to be a bonus for sure but they do seem expensive given that there is no real guarantee that they will last much longer than ordinary trunks, at least with the old "endurance 10" fabric you knew they would last at least ten times as long as ordinary trunks. Ideally you need to Buy "endurance+" for long long life trunks.
