I have a Nikon Z6 and I hate camera straps. This is so handy and very secure. I was leery at first but I trust it 100% now. Definitely try it out. I'm going to get their more expensive mount because to can be used with tripods as well. The only downside to this is you can't use a tripod, and it's not the most convenient thing to take off and on. Other than that it's awesome.

It saves my neck. The weight for carrying is on your hip. Caneras should come with these rather than a strap.

I was looking for a way to transport a Sony ZV-1. I got the camera as a carry-around camera because it is small and light. While it is pocketable it is heavier than I anticipated and I worried about it wearing holes in my pockets.I wear it on my hip on a 1-3/4" tactical webbing belt. I have also been able to wear it on the much thinner 1-1/4" hip belt of my Mountainsmithfanny fanny pack. The camera doesn't swing around much when I walk so other than the weight pulling on my belt it is not bothersome. I would not want to try transporting a heavier full-size camera with this holster or it's larger sibling. I would find the tenancy for it to pull the top of the holster and belt away from my body and causing the lower edge of the belt to dig into my hip, which happens even with my compact camera, to be very uncomfortable.I don't particularly like the stud, used to secure the camera in the holster, occupying my tripod socket. It means that if I wanted to use a tripod I would have to remove the stud. Likewise swapping batteries on the ZV-1 requires removing the stud as anything in the tripod socket obstruct the battery/SD door. The instructions say to use the included hex key to tightly attach the stud and to keep checking it to make sure it hasn't worked itself loose. But I am a bit worried about the effect all the torque of tightening and untightening the stud is going to have on the screws attaching the tripod socket to the camera chassis. And it is going to require carrying a hex key to get lost or a SmallRig Folding Tool Set. I could add a base plate with a cheese plate to the camera and attach the stud on one hole and an Arca-Swiss plate in another hole, but that adds more bulk and weight to the camera. And the plate I did try before buying the holster obstructed the battery/SD door hinge even though it had a hole for the door to open through. Those plates should be rca-Swiss comparable but none that I have seen are. With the stud in place you don't have the option of supporting the camera on a flat surface. It is easy to get the camera mounted in the holster with one hand but getting it out is a two hands operation. You have to lift the camera with your near hand while reaching across your body with your off hand to depress the locking lever. While trying not to drop your climbing poles, cane, or whatever else you are carrying.⭐⭐⭐ Is my base rating for a product that is fully functional and delivers on its promises

I do repair estimates sometimes and need to take a lot of photos with a small camera, while juggling notepad, tape measure, etc. This has been a great solution. It worked with the hand strap I already had on my camera, and I like how it hangs at my side, but is easily accessible. The latch seems secure. I have not been able to figure out how to latch and unlatch with single hand, but no matter. What kept this from 5 stars is the fact that a standard web tool belt is too big for this. This only fits narrower belts.

It works as expected. Well built at an affordable price. It even comes with a tool to tight the bolt. Easy to get the camera off the holder and easier to put it back in.The attachment system gives you confidence that the camera will not drop off.
