Ausgepackt, leider war der Knauf gespalten. Stört mich nicht weiter, da umgehend neuen gedreht und eingepasst. Nachdem die Klinge frisch geschliffen und poliert wurde, habe ich einen 10x10cm Weissbuchen- Kantholz damit gehobelt. Planparallel und im Winkel versteht sich. Der Hobel ist dank seinem Gewicht und Länge sensationell beim Abtragen der Späne.(Pfeifgeräusch beim Hobeln). Spandicke ca. 0.03mm. Holzoberfläche seidenweich und glänzend. Für den Preis und mit etwas Erfahrung beim Set-Up ein sehr guter Hobel. Nicht mein Erster- & auch nicht mein Letzter Stanley Hobel, den ich kaufen werde.

Unfortunately the forward knob/handle arrived broken. Cheap plastic handles fitted to an expensive tool. Disappointing

No geral é muito boa e resistente. Pessoalmente não aprecio muito a pega em plástico, o pior para mim foi o tempo que perdi para nivelar a sola e calibrar tudo. Depois desse trabalho se "Setup" é um excelente instrumento de trabalho, muito fiável e provavelmente para a vida!

Tenía muchas dudas, pero me he decidido. Las 3 caras totalmente a escuadra. No hace falta rectificar nada, únicamente afilar bien la cuchilla y la contracuchilla asentar la un poco. Va de maravilla. No se como es un veritas, pero este va muy bien. Muy contento con la compra. Por ponerle alguna pega no me ha gustado el envoltorio que venía en una caja de cartón. Está fabricado en México.

Apart from the plastic handles, this plane is a nice, starter edition to someone wanting to own a wider plane. On arrival, I found that all of the appropriate parts were metal and was pleased to find that the machining and casting quality was around what I might expect for this price point. You will have to spend some serious time flattening, fettling and setting up this plane but that is worth it once you get it ready to go.I use mine as a "junior jointer" as I work in a small shop and haven't yet found the need for a No. 7 or larger plane, and for that purpose this plane is working just fine. Teamed with my no. 5 and no. 4 planes, this is a nice, rounded set for the starter.

Manufacturing of the frog assembly is rough, particularly on the contact surface with the plane body.Nevertheless, the two feet of the frog that should run flat on the plane reference surfaces, cannot make contact due to 2 mm interference with the raw casting of the body of the plane, on each side, that left the frog suspended from the contact surface!I asked for a replacement, that promptly arrived, but the item had the same issue.2 planes with the same bad assemblyTerrible product, do not recommended unless you want to spend 3 or 4 hours fixing a new plane.Disappointed from Stanley.Excellent service from Amazon.
