今回は3台のモニタを切り替えるために購入。結果は問題なしでした。本来欲しかったのは、3PCで3モニタ切り替えが理想だったのですが。これまでは、ATEMのOEMモデルのサンワサプライSW-KVM4HDCNを2台を使用してました。今回の解像度は2560x1440です。後でわかったのですが、少し前のケーブルでNGのものもあることでした。KVM～モニタ間はDVI～HDMIで統一、PC～KVM間は、DVI～DVI、HDMI～DVI、Displayport～DVIと、全体で3種類の組み合わせとなりました。ケーブルはアマゾンベーシックコスパ最高ってとこですかね。ただし、Displayport～DVIのケーブルはあったのですが、仕様が1080まででしたので、Displayport～HDMI変換器＋HDMI～DVIで構成。唯一、難点が、KVM側でモニタのEDIDを保持＋配信をしていないことです。この点はATEM当たりが老舗と言うところですか。なので、先にKVMスイッチをONにしてからPCを起動しないといけません。同様に2台目もスイッチを2台目に切り替えてから起動。そのため、星一つマイナスです。メーカーさまへ、3PC＋3モニタ＋EDID対応を作って下さい。

I bought the dual DVI monitor, two computer version to enable monitor sharing between my home machine (Windows 7) and my work laptop (Windows X). I'm not using the audio switching feature, or the mouse connectors. This unit has known problems with wireless devices so I am avoiding that issue through a Logitech MX mouse which can be used with multiple computers. For my use case it does the job well enough.Pros: Good price for what it does. Works fairly reliably.Cons: DVI connections are very close to each other. My cables all fit without mods, but only barely.Switching between systems takes 5-10 seconds. Makes it tough to change systems to press pause on music quickly.Occasionally (say No documentation in the box other than a web address to the manual. Tough to read such a thing when your monitors are disconnected.Other: No cables are included. Could be an issue for some.

StarTech.com 2 Port Dual DVI USB KVM Switch with Audio and USB 2.0 Hub (SV231DD2DUA)Note: I am not using the audio or mic, just USB, Keyboard, trackball and 2 DVI monitors connected to one PC and one laptop via docking station.This thing works perfectly for me. I have only had it for 3 days but it has not had any problems. I use the Crtl hotkeys to switch and have no problems.I did go and buy all new DVI cables as well as new USB A Male to B Male cables.One thing to know is that not all software likes the KVM. I have a USB headset and when I switch computers the headset goes active on the other computer and the software I was running usually gets upset as it no longer has a device to input and output. Not a big thing for me and not a fault of StarTech, just bad programming by some software.I can't say enough good things about this KVM. It is responsive, it looks nice and it is the least expensive I could find.Get it, you'll love it.

Ich hab diese Box für meinen Admin angeschafft, damit er zwischen Win und Debian Rechner hin und her schalten kann.Was soll ich sagen, Ja der Preis hat mich umgehauen, aber 2 Monitore und nen Tastatur mit Maus wären teurer gewesen und hätten Strom verbraucht, aber vor allem Platz. Und der kostet ja richtig Geld.Tut wie es soll. Kurze Kabel bei der kabelscheune.de dazubestellt, alles gut.Wir, also ich und mein Admin, wir sind sehr zufrieden mit dieser Box.

Mit einem Rechner und 2 Monitoren zu arbeiten, ist für alle, die das kennen, eine ausgezeichnete Angeleghenheit. Diesen "Luxus" wollte ich mir im "Home Office" mittels Umschaltbox auch für meinen Firmenlaptop (keine Treiberinstallation möglich) gönnen. Nach einem ersten, nicht befriedigendem Anlauf mit einer Anderen Lösung, bestellte ich mir besagte Umschaltbox. Macht zwar einen Riesen Kabelsalat ( bei m ir 6 x DVI, 4 x USB - Audio wäre auch noch möglich) verrichtet seine Arbeit aber gut. Der hohe Preis UND die Umschaltdauer, bis der Mauszeiger sich wieder bewegen lässt ( geschätzt 2-3 Sekunden) lassen hier nur 4 Sterne zu!!16 Monate später würde ich nur mehr 2 Sterne geben - Grund: es passiert immer öfter, dass nach dem Umschalten die Tastatur und / oder die Maus am zweiten PC nicht mehr erkannt wird – wiederholtes umschalten und / oder ausschalten des Switch bringt nichts – nein, das Gerät will „mindestens“ einen anderen USB Port belegt wissen oder ich muss sogar die Tastatur und die Maus auf den jeweiligen PC umstecken. Auch Neustart bringt dann nichts mehr. Bei einem Gerät in dieser Preisklasse ist das nicht zu akzeptieren!

PROS: WORKS, video quality is excellent, rack mountable, and response time is quickCONS: Keyboard issue, and lack of cables.Long review:I read the review posted by Ansury on 6-25-11. I saw his problem with the keyboard, but figured I wouldn't have the same problem, or if I did, I would find a working solution, and I bought the Quad monitor Dual port KVM switch. I also had enough cables so that I didn't have to buy any, but it emptied my stock. It arrived in a timely manner. It arrived well packaged and was as advertised.I used the rack mount brackets to mount it under my desk, that worked great. At the time I upgraded from my single monitor, dual port KVM to this, I also replaced my keyboard and Mouse. During first use I had the same problems noted by Ansury, stuck keys, and missed keys. I type it, and it doesn't appear on screen :(. I swapped the mouse and keyboard connections(mouse into the keyboard port and keyboard into the mouse port). I did notice the USB connections at the ends of the USB cables were VERY warm when I unpluged them to move them, the keyboard more so that the mouse.This DID solve the problem of missing and stuck keys. My mouse has shown no adverse effects from being in the keyboard port. I DO miss the CTRL shortcut commands now though. I can't do CTRL + CTRL + (1 or 2) to switch between ports on the KVM, as the KVM only listens for this on the dedicated keyboard port, and since the keyboard is not in that port I can't use any shortcut commands.The keyboard and lack of cables is what is causing me to give this 4 stars instead of 5.
