Zum Anbraten und Schmoren gibt es für mich nichts besseres. Nach dem Anbraten kann man die Hitze fast auf minimal herunterdrehen. Deckel drauf und es schmort dahin und brennt nicht an.Da die Sauteuse auch optisch gut aussieht, kann sie gleich auf den Tisch. Man muss nur das Gewicht beachten, aber dafür ist sie ja aus Gusseisen und deshalb relativ schwer.Für das Braten von Steaks weniger geeignet.

I just received my cherry braiser and it looks to be a second. One handle is smooth all around and on the inside while the other is rough and unfinished on the inside. Also, there are multiple pit marks inside the pan. I am not sure if the pan's performance will be affected. However, I feel I have been deceived and paid good money for a pan with visual imperfections.Update:Amazon sent me a replacement for the return of my original purchase. Unfortunately, the replacement had more defects than the original one. One of the handles was extremely poorly finished. There was also a chip in the outside enamel. The braiser was in a resealed (cellophane taped) Staub box with slight damage to it indicating an already returned item. Very disappointed in Staub QC (and in Amazon) and will not chance another purchase now.

Era una bellissima pentola perfetta per la carne, usata e trattata in maniera giusta ma dopo forse meno di 10 volte di averla usata nel mese che l'abbiamo oggi si sono staccati pezzi di smalto! Non va bene per niente devo vedere adesso come farmi un reso su un prodotto gia utilizzato!
