This looks to be a very precise and robust product, but comes with some caveats (which it pains me to bring forward, but it should be done, as it would have helped me if I found this in reviews, and which may have influenced my decision to buy)Pros:Caliper seems to be quite precise, I made some test measurements, and on multiple tries readings were always very close. I didn't have the good reference to perform accuracy testsSturdy - this is one toughly built measurement device, not too heavy but solid. Tick marks and numbers are engraved, not printed.Cons:- Edges are sharp - obviously, measurement surfaces should be clean and straight - this is what aids with the precision. However, edges around handling surfaces should be at reasonably rounded. One can literally scratch or cut his/her hand manipulating this. It is a bit of a downside, but I could ignore this if there weren't for the other two Cons.- Scale does not slide smoothly. I still have to check with manufacturer if there is a solution there, but when one moves the scale with locking screw fully unscrewed, the scale is grippy and does not move smoothly. when one wants to open it to a specific length, it is very difficult to do it precisely and move in slowly and in small increments (sliding surfaces seem to be oiled/greased so it does not seem to be the problem). it is nothing that a good thumb wheel on the scale could not solve, which brings me to the final point:- There is no thumb wheel on the caliper! What looks like a thumb wheel is only a thumb grip. I am completely baffled by this. The cheapest Vernier caliper on Amazon has one. My old cheap Chinese digital vernier caliper has one, and my dad's 50 year old Vernier has one, so why this one doesn't?I will be using the device for a few days to decide if I can live with these downsides or I should try my luck with another one.

Wie schon bei dem 179 teiligen Werkzeugkoffer und dem WaPu Zangensatz sehr gute Qualität zum Preis. Aber was mich am WaPu Zangensatz und an dem Messschieber stört ist, das diese Grate aufweisen...Beim Messchieber sogar so star das ich mich am Messschieber schnitt...
