I love this hat. I got the violet which is gorgeous. It is brighter that I expected which I really like because I love bright purple. It is very comfortable. It has a size adjuster so it can fit tightly around your head so you don't loose it in the wind. It will go down to quite a small head. I even put it in my 4 year old and it fit her head well. I would have ordered the pink for her if the brim was smaller. She couldn't see past it. Plus it has a nice chin strap. I love being able to pull my hair through the ponytail hole to keep my neck cooler. I wore this hat on an 80 degree day and felt cooler with the hat on than when it was off. I love the wire in the brim. It keeps the foam from folding and creasing. I have a child size Sunday Afternoon hat that I have used for 2-3 years that does not have wire in the foam brim. It is still nice but the brim has a large crease. You cannot really tell when it is on though. I want more in different colors. I may never wear my fashion hats to the lake again.

Got this hat for a hiking trip to the Grand Canyon in June. It was hot, it was sunny, and I did not overheat or burn. The flap in the back was a little awkward at times with my backpack, and no hat does well in the wind on the Rim, but these are minor. I was disappointed, however, that my hat had a dusky blue lining, not the black pictured.
