After the first start, there was initially the sound of an electric spark, possibly in the engine, and then the TC618CS 3365500 chip burned out. I didn't get to play with it for long, but it's a beautiful toy.

We thought this would be a really great gift, my son enjoyed building it however the device doesn't connect to his Bluetooth.For the past 4 weeks we've been back and forth with their technical department, but trued numerous suggestions on fixes with no luck. It's disappointing they won't just send a new circuit board.

Instructions are clear, all parts present, no spare screws, though, make sure you don't drop anything while assembling or you might find yourself spendin extra time looking for the 1mm piece all over the floor,... like I did.

Bought this after seeing it randomly appear on my news feed. My 7 year old grandson is a lego maniac and I thought it would be a good time to introduce him to hand tools and electromechanical stuff. We had an awesome afternoon, and he actually learned how an ultrasound and IR sensor works.Kit went together very nicely. Accurate holes in everything and high quality screws, nuts, and rivets. For some reason there was no adhesive on the back of the camera, but a half inch square of double sided tape made short work of mounting. I reviewed the "Learn" documentation, and I'm thinking of slowly introducing some of the arduino programming and GUI programming on the App, once he is done just enjoying running the rover all over the house. Maybe when he's 8.

Der Rover ist von der Anleitung und dem Aufbau Top, einziger Wermutstropfen bei der Inbetriebnahme ist mir Aufgefallen das die WLAN Verbindung immer wieder abbricht oder gar nicht Funktioniert. Der Test der Einzelteile hat ergeben. Das die ESP32-CAM die Kamera defekt ist und den gesamten ESP32 Controller damit unbrauchbar macht. Ich habe das Kameramodul von einer ESP32 Cam genommen das ich noch hatte und siehe da es funktioniert. Leider habe ich bei Amazon keinen Punkt gefunden der es mir erlaubt ein Einzelteil zu Reklamieren, also hätte ich alles zurücksenden müssen. Da ich aber 5 Stunden für den Aufbau gebraucht habe verzichte ich auf das Rücksenden und Verwende mein eigenes Kamera Modul.

This is a very nice rover from Sunfounder. I've been looking for a "Mars-like" rover for some time and came across this unit. It has a solid design and performs well. Very good printed instructions and on-line assembly videos as well. If you're new to electronics, Sunfounder has very good tutorials to go along with the build process. If you're just looking to assemble and have fun playing, you can just do that but I encourage at least going through the online tutorials as they explain how all the systems work and how the programming that runs it all functions. It's beginner friendly. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking for a new gadget to have some fun with.

J’ai acheté ce robot dans le but d’un projet pour pouvoir le modifier, le montage et très simple et tout est fourni même la carte. Il marche extrêmement bien, il est vraiment tout terrain et s’adapte bien à son environnement. Les cartes sont propres à SunFounder (la carte et le shield). J’avais pour projet de faire une manette pour le controller avec une carte esp-32 mais du fait qu’ils utilisent leur propre technologies et librairies très peu documentées c’est compliqué. De plus on peut seulement le contrôler avec un téléphone donc pas de pc et j’ai remarqué que l’application sur android n’est plus sur le playstore, il faut donc passer par un apk. Bref le robot est bien mais au niveau des ajouts et des modifications c’est très limité, dommage.
