Looks good but D-ring screw's unthreaded portion too short to allow movement along the plate. Consequently on trying to remove the screw (after significant difficulty fitting) the threads have been damaged. Consequently i cannot recommend this product and will be seeking a refund as i consider it faulty.

I ordered this Sunwayfoto PCL-R5G because RRS BGR10-L was unavailable for last several months. But I have RRS L-plate for Canon R5 without Battery Grip. Of course I didn't expect RRS quality from Sunwayfoto, but I did not expect such a gross defect either. I'll start at the beginning so that everything becomes clear. The first photo shows the unpacked kit. The plate arrives with pre-installed safety pins. In a plastic bag there are fixing screw and two washers: a thick one and a thin one. The photo shows a thick one, because the thin one is put on the screw. Probably it should be so, since they put it on. Therefore, I screwed the screw into the threaded hole of the plate without removing the washer. The screw entered the thread without problems, but the washer did not allow the screw to move along the slot in the plate. I decided that this was done on purpose, for better alignment, and began to screw the plate to the battery block. At first everything was fine, but when I started to tighten the screw, I heard the crunch of aluminum and stopped. I unscrewed the plate and found a damaged thread at the beginning of the groove, see the attached photos.I removed the screw and put the plate to the battery pack. It turned out that the threaded hole in the plate has offset from the hole in the battery handle by 4 mm to the left. If you remove the washer from the screw, then the plate is screwed without aluminum crunch, but the central mark on the bottom of the plate is shifted by 4mm relative to the center of the camera sensor. If you take the battery pack separately, without the camera, the holes match. But with a BB attached to the camera - not. What the hell?Yesterday I received a notification from B&H photo that the RRS BGR10-L was back in stock and ordered it immediately. What should I do now with this crap from Sunwayfoto? It has a cosmetical defect inside and 2 weeks have just passed. But this defect occured due to poor design, not by my careless handling. Well, I'll try to return it back.

Far cheaper than the alternatives which I have on other cameras and it does the same job.
