Designed to delight young scientists, the Swift SW100 offers an array of user-friendly features that produce crisp images of specimen slides. With all the characteristic components of a standard compound microscope, the SW100 is an excellent, affordable, and easy-to-use introduction to microscopy for elementary school-aged learners.
Teach children about compound magnification with the swappable wide-field 10X and 25X eyepieces, which combine with the 4X, 10X, and 40X all-glass objective lenses to offer magnification from 40X all the way up to 1000X.
Fine focusing knobs stacked on top of coarse focusing knobs on either side of the microscope give both right- and left-handed learners more control over making adjustments to image clarity. An LED bulb transmits light up from below the plain stage for transparent specimens, while the built-in light on the metal arm illuminates from above, allowing you to use the SW100 in a low-magnification capacity for examining the surfaces of small, solid objects like leaves, flowers, or coins.
The SW100 comes with a power adapter as well as 3 AA batteries. The cordless option pairs perfectly with the carrying handle (sized to fit smaller hands) so that kids can conduct experiments on the go. A wide, sturdy base adds stability to prevent the microscope from being knocked over.

As described, works well, and is easy to setup and use. The camera recording and screen capture feature also works well, you just need to install the app on your PC or cell phone.

Love it, exactly what I wanted. I had some shimmering moss in my terrarium and wanted to get to the bottom of it. Confirmed my nematode suspicion and i’m obsessed.

I needed a microscope to do at home field work and send my instructor images of what I am seeing in the microscope. Unfortunately the software/ eyepiece didn't talk to each other so it was useless. To prevent getting a zero for my assignments I rigged up my iPhone through the eyepiece to capture images. Not ideal but at least I got credit for the assignment. I emailed Swift and never heard back so I am returning it.

Really well made. Easy to focus. Several different power lenses. Have not hooked up to computer yet but the quality of all the parts are well made. Metal base, not plastic. Bought for our 10 year old son who showed interest and it's worked perfect for that without breaking the bank.
