This screws easily onto the bicycle wheel hub and appears to function correctly. However, the 12 splines inside the freewheel are too shallow and poorly shaped to engage securely with a freewheel removal tool, making it impossible to remove. Having attached the item to test it was okay, I then realised I needed to do some work on the wheel bearing, so inserted my freewheel-remover tool. On rotating the tool anti-clockwise to undo the freewheel, the remover tool slipped from spline to spline and the freewheel did not rotate with it. I removed the tool and inspected the splines, which are inappropriately shallow with smoothed-off edges. Unable now to remove the faulty freewheel, I have not been able to return it to Amazon for a refund because I would have to send them the entire wheel. Consequently, I have now had to buy an alternative, better quality freewheel along with an entire new wheel with which to use it. Not recommended.
