Besides looking super cool and not being too expensive, this thing works super well for a great retrieving tool. I was able to use the magnet to pick up several different pocket knives.

Not use in anger, fortunately… however just spent 3 hours carefully grinding down and then polishing the spare set of pins that were eve so slightly too large. Manufacturer, as based in The USA, wouldn’t ship a replacement, fair enough I guess.

So far I like it, heard about it from the EDC forums and have been wanting one for several years now. Pretty existited i got it now. Paired it with some 40lb fishing line and seems to be sturdy, my keys weight a lot by the photo you can see it's lifting several keys, large carabiner, zippo lighter fluid container, mini knife, Herbert shard and a serversl other items. I keep it in a Altoids box with a spare 100 foot line in a plastic bag. Hopfully it will come in handy soon!The magnet sometimes doesn't pick up items, because some items are not metal for exampleMy stainless steel fridgeLight bulb from a magliteWind chimesSome keys! Other items small that contain pot metals..Take away notes, I should have bought one years ago, comes with spikes hooks. If they ever break you can use nails just chop off the points and file off the head.

The metal rods will not stay in... I thought that they would be held in by the magnet... But not so much.
