I have had 2 knee replacements in past year and standing to fish is just something I can't do anymore. I need to be seated. I have a year old Triton bass boat which came with one sit down seat and a butt seat. The sit down seat is usually occupied by my wife. I called my dealer and a new fold down seat was almost $800. No way. I found this Tempress and thought it was worth a try. It's very comfortable and while not an exact match the colors are similar to what I have in the Triton so you have to look pretty close to tell it's different. I feel much more comfortable and secure sitting down and this seat was exactly what I needed, for a much better price.

The seats are awesome but the entire hing assembely is plastic. and the clip to fold seats is a cheep plastic tab. i would have never bought these if i had known. I kept them and will see how long they last but as far as im concerned plastic is junk! i would have much rather spent more for metal brackets.

The comfort of the seat is top quality. However the plastic or whatever its made of at the seat being upright as if sitting in it the plastic right where the bottom meets the back part there is these little places where it should like interlock is broken. It now makes a very aggravating noise every time I lean back . My fiancé and I were both thinking the same thing , wow that noise is irritating. While she is on side of me sitting in a old beat up second hand , faded , uncomfortable chair is making " NO NOISE " . I feel like even a brand new chair would do the same thing. Im thinking about a different design on that part . Im glad i didn't buy 2 of them like I was going to . Long story short. I have a brand new 20' X 5' aluminum bateau with a 60 hp . Mercury Tiller handel with a 4-Blade prop and a Bob's Machine hydraulic jackplate sitting on a almost brand new aluminum single axel trailer with a $200 plus seat that I wanna take out . Im not a messy person, however Im not satisfied. Hopefully the right person will see this and change that . Tks in advance.

After buying a boat that needed some work I tried to cheap out on the seats to save money, I started with $50 seats and didn't like those, then I bought some $100 seats and those were only a little better. The problem with the cheap seats is they were too small. You couldn't slide back far enough to feel like you were total on the seat and the back was too straight up and down, there is no way I could sit on those all day. The Tempress ProBax Orthopedic seats may be a lot more expensive but they are totally worth the money. They are very comfortable, the material is tough and they are well designed. The quality just rings, they should last for years. When you are fishing, you spend a lot of time on your butt, don't try to cheap out on the seats or you will be sorry. I am very satisfied with these seats and wish I would have just started with these and save the time and trouble.
