Warum wir eine Plattform zum Sonnenbaden für Schildkröten brauchen?
Sowohl Wasser- als auch Landschildkröten benötigen regelmäßige Sonneneinstrahlung, um die Vitamin-D-Synthese zu fördern und Parasiten abzutöten.
Die meisten Freunde bereiten die Inseln der Landschildkröten nicht für sie vor, deshalb wird der Wasserstand sehr niedrig angesetzt, weil sie denken, dass das Wasser direkt unter ihrem Rücken liegt und es sowohl Wasser als auch Sonne gibt. Eigentlich ist das nicht richtig! Denn dadurch bekommen sie weiße Augen, faule Nägel, Fäulnis und andere Krankheiten!

My box turtle is too big to climb his whole body on it but he likes the lift so he still lays on it to bask at an angle.

Ordered this for our new turtles, easy assembly...then falls to pieces when you go to move it. Almost impossible to get in tank in 1 piece without piers following off etc.

Don’t waste your money.. it falls apart instantly in the water.. my turtle is not impressed whatsoever.. none of the pieces actually tighten together causing them to just fall apart instantly.. I tried to epoxy it to make it sturdier but it’s so cheap and has nothing to support it properly.. I gave it the benefit of a doubt anyways just because I did spend money on this 😒😵💫😵 but right away my turtle struggled to climb it.. it took her 30 seconds of an attempt .. and she really wanted to get some sun.. but suddenly it was busted apart in pieces and she fell to the bottom of her aquarium .. she took a second to pause before she looked over and gave me the most unamused look of WTF.., and if you have a turtle then I’m sure you know this look all to well!
