Really nice for cleaning fish when remote. Just be careful not to cut into the surface.I used this when fishing from my kayak so I didn't have to keep a stringer dragging behind me. I just bring a cooler for the filets. And it rolls up nicely to save space. You need to be careful when cutting fish on it since the material is very soft. I use a Rapala filet knife which I keep razor sharp and it slices into the mat easily when I am not paying attention. But at least it doesn't dull the blade.It does stick to the surface of the kayak well which makes it easier to clean fish. Nice when I am sandbar fishing.The gloves are a little small for me, I do have larger hands so I expected that, they do work but are a little snug. They also aren't super thick but help keep the fish from slicing up my hands while cleaning. Be careful with a really sharp blade though.The bag is nice and drains well when the mat is wet. The mat is a little heavier than it looks, should hold up well, but it also very flexible.Overall a nice product. I keep it in my kayak all the time now.

This is a very large and durable fish cleaning/fillet mat. When unrolled out on the counter it did not slip or slide and lay perfectly flat with no curling at all. It is quite heavy with nice grippy nibs on the cutting surface that keep the fish up off the surface for more efficient cleaning. It is very easy to clean with a quick rinse under the faucet or hose. The mesh carry bag makes the mat very portable for use on the boat, pier or kitchen counter. The mesh also makes for nice air drying after use. The included "anti cut gloves" are a nice addition but I was somewhat hesitant to put them to the test. Overall a high quality mat that should last for quite some time.

So this is my first fishing cleaning mat and I wish I would of gotten this sooner. what an amazing tool to have! There is so much grip for keeping the fish still, its so flexible and it has rough terrain that keeps a great grip on any size fish you put there. It rolls up so easily and able to put away in a minute, the material used also doesn't retain smell or pieces of the fish you can clean it off with a simple rinse.To make it more convenient they put a handle at one end incase its slippery or wet and you don't drop it. This is a very large size mat so you can easily put a 30lb plus fish on it to clean it with ease. I love this mat and I would highly recommend to any angler!

This is a nice, easy to clean and large mat for cutting fish. It provides a durable surface that will not seep through to the counter beneath so you can even clean the fish in the kitchen without your spouse getting upset with you (it doesn't eliminate the smell, though, so - get the scraps out quick ;)The material the mat is made from helps to prevent the mat from slipping all over the counter while you are cutting which is a plus for cutting fish.I don't think this would be a good mat for cutting meat on as the mat itself isn't durable enough to withstand a lot of cuts from a sharp knife. When you filet fish, you aren't really cutting into the mat so it is more of a barrier between the fish & the counter than an actual cutting mat.The gloves will help prevent cuts to your fingers or hand when filleting but I wouldn't say they are a strong enough to prevent a full blade slicing through.The storage bag is really nice for storing the mat as well as taking it with you on the go. We used this for summer fishing and will use this a lot in our Ice Castle this winter out on the ice.
