Tested with the Tokina 500mm F8 and the results are very poor. Focusing becomes almost impossible and the quality is worse as compared with just up scaling and cropping an image without using the teleconverter.

Le doubleur de focale Tokina TA-020 va de pair avec le télé à miroir 400 SZX. Il le transforme en 800mm pour un prix modique. Evidemment, la formule miroir+doubleur ne va pas dans le sens d'un piqué extraordinaire mais le rapport qualité/encombrement et poids est difficile à battre quand on sait qu'un 100-400 Canon pèse plus de 1,5 kg!
