I waxed the skis of three middle school Nordic racers this winter: my son and two friends. I used this wax as the base wax for each event. The two boys finished the season by coming in 4th and 5th in the County Championship series...and they were the two highest placed 7th graders, the only 7th graders in the top 10. They raced on run of the mill, economy (cheap) skate skis--not worth buying race skis when they out grew them by the end of the season.Note that high flouro waxes are most effective when the snow has moisture in it. All of our races this year had a start temperature over 20 degrees, with three races taking place in the 30's and 40's. High Fluoro was the way to go. After cleaning and brushing the skis I ironed in two coats of this base wax, then two coats of a Swix low flouro wax of the day, and then a final topcoat of a Zumwax high fluoro wax. I brushed between each coat of wax.In races as short as these (2 to 4 K) I don't know if the wax makes much that difference in the time...if you have wax on the ski at all (not a given at this level). Keeping the skis clean, and keeping the bases prepared with this wax gave the kids a fighting chance. They still had to ski fast :-)

Habe viele Jahre in einem Sportgeschäft gearbeitet mit Schwerpunkt im Wintersport , Ski, Snowboard, Langlauf. Wachse selbst undkenne auch viele andere Produkte bin aber immer wieder zu Toko zurück.

Love it. Been using Swix for years but checking out Toko. Skied in wet fresh snow today and gliding was effortless.
