Mir war das zu nervig, ich habe das jetzt auf einem zweiten Paar Wingbar fixiert und mach das nie wieder ab.Mit Ach und Krach passen zwei Thule Proride drauf, das ist aber Millimeterarbeit, die ich auch nicht auf dem Dach empfehlen würde,sondern in vernünftiger Arbeitshöhe auf einer Werkbank. Nutzbare Breite zur Befestigung von Haltern in etwa 41 cm, das geht nur mit zwei Haltern, wenn sie absolut schmal sind oder erlauben, komplett spiegelverkehrt montiert zu werdenDann obacht, das Teil ist riesig und sackeschwer dazu, wichtig für Befestigung auf dem Dach an sich. Nur mit zwei Leuten durchführen. Und auf jeden Fall die Dachlast beachten. Ich hab drei relativ große Autos, bei allen davon könnte ich zwei dieser Lifte installieren ( Breite Querträger beachten) allerdings ist meine Zuladung da drauf dann auf ein Rad limitiert, was dann relativ sinnfrei ist.Der Mechnismus für den Lift ist mir ein bisschen zu pabil gestaltet. Er hält zwar beim Fahren, aber genau da dran hatte ich mir ein Schloss gewünscht, mal gucken, ob ich da was dranbasteln kann

Eccezionale come qualità dei materiali. Ho eliminato la necessità di avere un gancio di traino. Mancano solo i binari per due biciclette, ma, una volta montati, oltre alle due biciclette, possono essere caricati con le cinghie sup e surf o sci ed altro. Sarebbe solo opportuno avere nel kit dei bulloni e dei dadi quadrati di fissaggio dei binari delle bici, perché il binario è quadrato.

I bought this rack becuase I am no longer happy with the vertical rack I bought for use on the back of my 5th wheel RV. And since I had a trip planned where only one kayak would be needed I pulled the trigger on ordering this one. The package arrived quick and when I opened it I found it all nicely and securely packaged. Instructions were good and I probably spent a total of 20 minutes putting this together (taking my time and doing some other things in between). Once assembled i took it out to my truck to install the base and then to insert the rack into the base. My truck is tall, so I still had to use a step stool to get everything put on. The rack fit perfectly and I opted to the external u-bolts over the T-slot since this was not something I planned to leave on the truck fulltime. Once on i confirmed what the instructions said - you really need to put some force on it to extend it when empty. You need to pull out and down at the same time, which requres me to step up on something for the "out" part of the motion. If I just stand below it and try to pull down it will not work. This is not a problem for me. I know I have a tall vehicle so it's the price I pay. The last thing I did while installing was to put two large rubber strips on. They have a strip of REALLY THIN doublesided tape. Once installed the rack sat for a while. Later that day I had to go somewhere and when I got hom I saw that the two rubber strips had been ripped off by the wind. I think some thicker 3M VHB might have held better than what's on them. Aside from this the rack was fine. Loading and unloading a kayak made this thing 100% worth it. No more standing on something and trying to get it on top of my truck and then trying to secure it. This let me put it on and secure it while at a good, easy level. Releasing the latches and letting it swing up to the roof were the easiest part of loading it up. It was nice to be able to have this secured on the roof while still being able to tow my RV and it was also nice to not have the kayak on the back of the RV blocking my rear-view camera. Over the initial 2.5 hour trip (each way) the rack and kayak held securely and other than the expected added wind noise (even with no kayak) it was all good.I did reach out to the seller asking about a part number for the two strips that were ripped off. The initial response was great, but after my 2nd message I haven't heard from them in a few days. It's nothing major and does not impact the overall functionality. I've temporarly put some other rubber strips on there while I wait to receive a response.One thing that led me to get this rack over a competitor (that costs twice as much) is that this rack isn't just for kayaks. With the t-slots on the two main rails I'll be able to use my bike racks if I ever want to take my bikes somewhere and can't use the bed of my truck. I believe they have a basket that will work on this rack too, in case I ever need something like that. The added functionality swayed my decision in this direction (in addition to the price - not saying this is cheap becuase it is not, but I didn't want to pay almost $1000 for a single use rack).If you're on the fence about this item go for it. If your vehicle and not too tall and you can extend/close standing on the ground your experience will be better than mine. I still give it 5 stars in spite of the rubber strips not holding. I hope to be able to replace them once I hear back from the seller.

Der Lift ist technisch sehr gut durchdacht und umgesetzt. Die Verarbeitung und die Verpackung sind qualitativ sehr gut.Ich verwende ihn auf einem Ford Transit custom ( ca. 2,10 m mit Träger hoch) zum Transport von Kajaks (27 kg, 5,26 m lang).Eine sehr bedeutsame Erleichterung. Ich benötige keine Leiter mehr, da ich das Kajak in der unten- Stellung fest machen kann.Leicht anheben und reinschieben und fest ist das Kajak. Die eigentliche Halterung kann aus den Schienen auf dem Dach entnommen werden. Dann sind nur die Schienen oben und der Träger kann irgendwo abgestellt werden.Wie bei allem gibt es auch eine negative Seite. Vermutlich der Absicht geschuldet, ein längstes Verpackungsmaß von 80 cm zu realisieren, ist der Schienenabstand genau auf 76,??? cm festgelegt.Das passt natürlich in den wenigsten Fällen auf die konkreten Dachträger.Da muss man sich was einfallen lassen.Vermutlich werde ich die Teile, welche dieses Maß bestimmen ersetzen und dadurch ein anderen Abstand realisieren. Kann nicht jeder. Deshalb nur 4 Sterne.Aber eigentlich ist das eine echt gute Sache.

This has been a game changer. I've been approached by several paddlers all commenting on how good this unit seems to be. I'll tell others to try and lift the kayak with one hand and they are always surprised at how easy it makes the process. Especially useful at the end of a session when I'm a little tired.The only criticisms I have is that the two rubber strips have now come off and have disappeared onto a road somewhere. The double sided tape holding them on is not strong enough and I'm going to have to find a replacement solution for the strips now that they have been lost. The other thing is that I don't totally trust the locking mechanism. I think if I were to hit a pothole, I wonder if the unit would become unclipped and would slide open. To get around this I either lash the kayak strap around the main frame and the sliding frame or do the same thing with a bungie.Overall though, would definitely recommend.

Gegen über Marktkontrahenten deutlich Preiswerter mit mehr Hebekraft. Der erste Eindruck war possitiv, auch das Zusammenbauen war eher leicht.Aber jetzt:1. Korrosionsschutz eher mangelhaft, schon kleine Beschädigungen fangen sofort an zu rosten!2. Die Einplanung einer oberen Halteöse für einen Spanngurt wäre nicht schlecht3. Leider ist der Träger in der Breite nur mit deutlich Mehraufwand veränderbar, so das nur verschiebbare Dachträger/Reling benutzt werden können4. Man muss unbedient Abstand zum Nachbarfahrzeughaben (1,5m) sonst wird es nicht mit Ab- und Aufladen

Very well packaged product with good instructions and easy assembly. Very well manufactured. Used twice now and what a different it has made to loading my heavy kayak. I’d tried various other methods and equipment but this is really very good. Yes you can only load one kayak but if I was going to load more I would have purchased two of these or a trailer. In all very good price for a quality product.
