Not 5G as advertised, battery dies after less than an hour and despite multiple attempts the setup fails every time. Junk.

The Zunate 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot is a handy little device that gives you your own personal Wi-Fi network at home or on the go. It's basically a pocket-sized router that lets you connect multiple devices, like your phone, tablet, or laptop, to the internet.I think this is particularly useful when you're traveling, or in areas with spotty Wi-Fi. Just pop in a SIM card - it has to be a micro SIM - and you've got a fairly reliable internet connection wherever you go. It's like having your own personal Wi-Fi hotspot but without leaving your phone in hotspot mode.Interestingly, I was able to put my data SIM into the router without having to make an APN entry - it just worked. I did access the admin page (ignore the advert’s http address because it’s wrong, just follow the enclosed instruction leaflet) and tried entering the APN credentials for my mobile network but the information would not save, reporting back as “Failed” each time. Still, it didn’t seem to matter.Having used it for the last couple of days, I did find it quite convenient although it's not the fastest router in the world, but it's definitely better than leaving my phone on hotspot mode, simply because other devices that access it have a more stable and reliable connection. The battery life is decent too, so you can use it for a good chunk of the day without needing to recharge.Finding the right spot for the strongest signal is key, and this took quite a while to do. When I found the best spot for it - perched half way up my bedroom window - I left it there and connected my PC, phone and tablet to it. The fastest speed I could get from the router was 14.8Mbps, and although that's well down on the advertised speed, it wasn’t too bad for browsing the Internet. It’s a budget router that has its pro’s and con’s. The build quality isn’t too bad, and the hefty battery is quite good, it’s just the speed of it is a bit of a let down.

There is no booster in this and it waters down your mobile signal so better just sticking with your mobile. We have had no internet since moving house and thought this would help us share the data cost but I ended up having to put the sim in my phone for the month which meant I lost my phone number as Ihad bought the data on a separate some. It did work intermittently but we only get 2 bars 4G on phone so it cuts out regularly and once sim was in this it just cut out after a few minutes and couldn’t load a page. I missed the return window so am stuck with a useless piece of junk.

Haven’t got it to wok yet but still trying. Can’t get it to see my network. Will give a better review when successful.
