I have wanted the Trangia 27 for some time now. I got my first Trangia storm cooker, back in the 80's and its the Trangia 25, which is bigger then the 27. So I got this upper part and the lower part and a pot that fits inside, also the none stick frying pan. I already had the kettle and rack thing, to use other pots with. All in all I am happy. I will use it this coming summer when camping or even picnicking. A good way to get the 27. Buy the parts separate, and get what you need.

Upper wind shield for the Trangia, holds and retains the Trangia pans perfectly. Very light weight, good quality product, highly recommended.

Bought this to replace the original one. Careful using the Trangia burner with the winter pre heater attachment with this. The aluminum will melt if you put too much fuel in the pre heater. Amazon's prices on Trangia products aren't great but is the only practical source for many of them.

I bought the entire Trangia stove kit to use while backpacking. This stove is great. It's the first alcohol stove that I have used. I've used it to cook many different things and have found it to be reliable and very efficient. The flame is easily controlled so that you can boil or simmer easily. I live in the south eastern U.S. so I cannot attest to its performance in cold weather yet. I would recommend this stove to anyone looking for an alcohol stove. It is well made and seems very durable so far. The only drawback I see is the size of the windscreens for someone interested in minimalist gear.
