Absolutely appalling piece of junk. Do not waste your hard-earned cash on something that is not fit for purpose!

This is a ridiculously good lens for the money. For landscape well lit, you are probably best stopping down to f/8 as it is a little soft at the wider apertures. I purchased primarily for night photography and was concerned about the softness at f/2, but there was really no need for concern. Absolutely fantastic. Also, this is the only lens i have ever used where when manually set to infinity focus, it actually focuses to infinity. Again, perfect for night photography. The metal body is also good for a heat collar if wanting to prevent humidity or condensation.Used with a Canon R50. (remember to enable taking pictures without lens, or it wont fire)

This is the second TTArtisan lens I've bought. As with the first this is well made, with a comfortable, solid feel. It fits my Canon perfectly with no movement at all. I've taken a few test shots which appear to be good. At the price, which is significantly cheaper than the cheapest Canon macro and considering it's overall quality I am really amazed that it is so inexpensive. Highly recommended for anyone who can't afford to stump up the hundreds for a main make.

Been into photography for well over a decade but the price and their restricted/specialised use has always put me off from ever investing in Macro glass. Enter TTArtisan with this little baby and suddenly a world of possibility has opened up for casual macro photographers like me.Pros: Metal body, solidly built. Good quality glass for the price.Cons: Heavy (fully metal). Optics not perfect but then again this is a super cheap lens. Not good for much else (tried portrait photography but it's not great for it)As explained in several youtube videos, this is an APS-C specific lens so for a FF camera (like mine) you'll need to crop the image either in the camera (crop mode) or PP. Incredible min. focus distance, true 1:1 but sharp only when stepped down to f8 or lower. Then again the plane of focus is so thin you'd want to step down anyway. The fact that it's a manual lens shouldn't be a show stopper for anyone looking to do casual mushroom/toy/jewellery photography. Someone pointed out that bugs, etc. would be tricky to photograph with this lens and that's true but can be done with a lot of patience and practice. For what it's worth, focus peaking (in modern cameras) sure comes in handy. Also requires plenty of light given you're stopping down so much so the use of a flash/light source is necessary.Having said my piece, all in all it's hard to fault a lens this well built and this cheap that lets filthy casuals like me to brush shoulders with veterans on autumn photowalks taking super closeups of mushrooms. I'd call this a 'gateway' lens for macro photography.
