Das Licht (links) ist im Vergleich zu einer ähnlichen Lampe (rechts) sehr neutral und hell, und der Preis stimmt absolut. Habe gleich noch eine zweite bestellt.

Prinzipiell eine Super Sache und passt auch Top für die original Matkia Akkus.Die Stufen 1 und 2 für die Helligkeit sind ebenfalls super.Der Kunstoff könnte etwas höchwerttiger sein, ich vermute das es einen Sturz nicht so gut weg stecken würde, aber dafür kann man den Strahler ja auch sicher wo hin hängen, was ebenfalls top ist.Von der Ausleuchtung her könnte man noch eine größere Fläche gleichmäßiger ausleuchten, evtl. ein Strahler mit einer Weitwinkelausleuchtung und Milchglas könnte das noch verbessern.Ich hatte diesen als Ergänzung zu vorhanden Strahlern gekauft, wo man "schnell" mal Licht benötigt und man das einfach in vorhanden Makita Koffer mit reinlegen kann.Auf jeden Fall eine Kaufempfehlung.

This work light attachment from vendor Tumemut packs considerable bright light for such a small footprint. While a powerful light, it is an attachment to be connected to your existing power tool battery, so make sure your battery is the correct type advertised to work with this light. Here is what to like:1. The light attachment feels sturdy and well-constructed.2. The light element is 4'" square, featuring a 25-LED bulb array.3. The light cast is bright (cold) white, advertised at 4000 Lumen, and it does light up a room.4. Working off of your own battery, the attachment has a USB A and USB C port to charge your phone.5. The attachment is hinged, so it can tilt upwards and downwards.6. The switch on the rear side turns the unit on/off. The front switch gives you a high or low beam.As noted in the photos, we have the tool set and batteries for which this light attachment is advertised. The light slid onto the battery with ease. The release button on our unit was a bit sticky and stiff and required some effort to press in in order to slide off the light. Not a big deal. The light cast is very impressive and it lit up a darkened utility room, living room, and garage bay. The hanging wire, to us, was too close to the body and the low center of balance did not really allow you to direct the light once attached to a battery hung via the wire. Placement on a flat surface works the best.Overall, a very functional and worthwhile attachment.

And the last one was pretty good!This one has a 'master switch' that turns of power to everything, including the USB regulators. The previous one had just the switch for the two light brightness levels. This one has that same capability, but with the added master switch it's OK to leave the battery connected underneath. No worry about the USB electronics slowly draining the battery between uses.More: The head casting and the fit to the top bracket are also better. No need to file and grind at all to get it to pivot smoothly. Having the USB ports adds a next level of convenience, proving especially valuable during recent power outages.I'll be the first to admit that we are way too comfortable with all the interesting battery tools and toys that use USB to charge and run. We don't really get a full feel for that until charging isn't available. This year the electric utility decided to limit its liability for wildfires, opting instead to preemptively isolate distribution sections when the heat and wind go up. They paid a hefty judgement last year for allegedly causing a large fire a couple years prior, so they limit that risk now with area outages.The rest:I'm pretty seriously invested in the Makita-sphere as far as cordless tools and support for them like batteries and chargers. Drill, impact driver, leaf blower, reciprocating saw, and now the work lights.This work light is a really handy addition to my tool collection. I have a lift in the very well-lit garage workbay for my toys, and there's a perpetual problem of how to add light under a vehicle when under there with tools and a mission. This light adds plenty and the field is large enough to actually use. Now with two albeit slightly different cordless work lights, there's even more and broader light, for fewer shadows. Do you use your work-lights for similar tasks? Consider getting two. ;)Like the other light, one thing I'd like to have is a slightly taller u-bracket, the one that supports the light head over the actual battery adapter. Put the pivot bolts for the head closer to the middle of the head, so the head and lights can rotate to point straight up, and maintain the weight of the head centered over the battery that is the base. In the weeks since we've acquired these work lights, there have been three extended power outages. More than twice what we experience in any 'normal' year. Pointed straight up at the high white vaulted ceiling in our family room, just one is more than sufficient for normal functions; two working together made it easily possible for K to work on her puzzle. "Straight Up" would also help with what I though was going to be the primary duty and an under-car work-light. In the time it's been here though, it's done the power-failure duty, been in the garage attic and in the basement storage area, been outside at night for something I don't remember, and more. Hasn't been under a car raised on the lift for serious actual work though. Not yet. Inspections and cleaning, yes. With tools, no.I'm quite satisfied with this cordless work-light. Even more than my first one. Found an early and unexpected use here during the outages, offers extra utility with the USB charging ports for phones and the like. I can swap on any of the several different-size Makita batteries I've accumulated over the last dozen-plus years now. Shines a new light on under-car projects too.Got Makita batteries, darkness, and the rest? This may be your solution. It is for me.

I think it’s very convenient to have this around, especially if you have batteries that you’re not really using however, I noticed that when I have switch in the off position and the light in the off position also, it’s still somehow managed to drain the battery completely. The two light modes are perfect, one low and one high and you can change the position up and down of the light.

Luckily we are a family of tools and I had a battery that fit this. Just keep in mind this DOES NOT COME WITH A BATTERY. With that being said, it is very bright, we mainly used it for fixing cars, or camping and walking to the bathroom at night. Be warned it is very bright and will hurt your eyes if you just wake up. But we've found that it works perfect after a hurricane too. I was able to use it to start our generator in the dark and the kids felt safer with it. Just be aware this doesn't come with a battery and it isn't a normal battery like AA or C's.

Aber auf Baustelle oder in Räumen kaum zu gebrauchen durch den schmalen Abstrahlwinkel. Es ähnelt einer Punktausleuchtung. Damit kann ich wunderbar das Haus in 50m Entfernung vollflächig beleuchten, aber nichts was 3-5m vor dem Strahler steht.Der Bügel zum Aufhängen rutscht bei etwas seitlichem Druck heraus. Im worst case fällt die Lampe auf den Akku….

Die Lampe schaut aus wie ein Original, tolle Verarbeitung (keine Grate etc.) und macht ein gutes Licht.

Comparing this to my Makita DML801 light, it's much brighter. Using a light meter app on my phone, it was 5x brighter measuring the light reflected off a wall 5 feet away, and 10x brighter when looking directly at the light (Not recommended with this light, by the way. It's so bright to leave spots on your eyes). I'm sure it uses the battery faster, but when you need a lot of light, that's acceptable.It's not as flexible as the Makita. It can throw light at about any angle you could want, this one is much more limited, but will be a good addition to my tool box.
