The 10-pack of Uadme carbon filter open-cell foam seems to do the job and lets the air through nicely, thus it can be effective at catching fumes. Ones nose sends a reminder when the filter is clogged and no longer effective.But this Uadme mesh is half the thickness of the original 5” x 5” filter block on the extractor system. Two pieces were needed to reduce the pong from solder flux fumes to the previous level. Some flux is carcinogenic, and effective filtering is essential.The original filters (no longer available) could be gently soaked and washed with warm and dried for several re-uses, but eventually fell apart. Hopefully this pack of new filters might last as well, only time will tell.

Die technischen maße sind exakt 13* 13 cm, die Stärke ist 1 cm, Gewicht liegt pro Element bei exakt 9gMesstechnisch ist ein hochohmiger Wert mit dem Messgerät zu messen, die Filterelemente sind also wirklich mit etwas Kohle versetzt worden.Die zehn Filterelemente sind gemeinsam in einer Plastiktüte verpackt und nicht einzeln, wie auf einem Bild zu erkennen.Für eine vernünftige Filterleistung sollte man zwei Filter hintereinander setzen.

Dieci filtri a carbone attivo di dimensioni quadrate. Li sto usando in un estrattore di fumi in combinazione con altri filtri e per un contenitore di spazzatura organica. Se non erro questo tipo di filtraggio è utile per i cattivi odori, non ha caratteristiche tali da renderlo efficace nel trattenere il micro particolato. In ogni caso questi sono estremamente porosi e non si adattano bene a quel tipo di utilizzo, quindi amen. Rispetto ad altri più densi e compatti però almeno sono più spessi.

I got these to use with my soldering fume extractor, unfortunately, they are not big enough but I've found another use for them. I have used these as a filter media in my fish tank filters and they seem to work fine.Lots of other uses for these too.
