I make hot sauces, so pH measurement is very important to me, for both food safety and shelf stability. Accurate pH measurement can only be achieved with a properly calibrated pH meter. This, in turn, requires accurate calibration standards. The thing about pH calibration standard solutions is, they don't keep indefinitely and expired solutions can lead to inaccurate pH readings which can, in many situations, be highly problematic.When I get into sauce-making mode, I usually find myself checking pH pretty often. I prefer to calibrate each day that I use the meter, before beginning and, on long days, again, about half-way through the day, as pH meters (especially "budget-level" ones) are notorious for drifting. Consequently, I go through a lot of calibration solution and am always looking for the best deal possible on the best quality I can find.The first thing I do before using a new batch of calibration standards is (using a freshly-calibrated pH meter) check the pH of the new standards. I was happy to find that both the UIUZMAR pH 7.00 and pH 10.01 standards that I received checked perfectly as labeled.Providing you use these solutions at a fast enough rate to use them up before their expiration date, this is a good deal for two 500mL bottles.

The bottles arrived in good condition with separate measuring cups on top of each lid. I used these solutions to calibrate an Oakton handheld meter and they seem to be very close to rated pH, based on comparison with several other meters. For the average home user measuring pool water or cooking solutions, this quantity of calibrating solution is sufficient for a few years of use before it expires, so this is a good deal.

Nice set of pH 7 and 10 calibration buffers. The bottle are 500ml, so a good size for occasional use. I just wish it also came with a pH 4 buffer.

I have one of the cheapest ph pens available on Amazon. I had spent crazy money on a tol pen but the housing cracked after two years I just couldn’t justify the money for the big name brand. This new pen is plus or minus 10 percent. Cost value for 1000ml is much better than the other product I bought two years ago. The solution gives me peace of mind that the reading for my value pen is close enough for my use. The 500ml solution should last at lease two years plus since I only check it every couple of months.

I needed to calibrate the pH sensor on my Keto AI / Clyr smart pool skimmer, and I had an opportunity to get this kit for review at no charge. There's probably enough fluid to perform at least 10 years worth of calibrating for this device, but the shelf life isn't that long, so this ends up being way more fluid than I needed, but it worked great and should give me at least a couple of seasons of use as long as I store it in a cool environment. If you're doing frequent calibrations with multiple pieces of equipment, this product is a great value.The kit comes with 2 small measuring cups, and the liquid poured from the bottle without any dripping or running down the side of the bottle, so it was easy and mess-free to measure out my test quantities.Since I don't have lab equipment to verify that the fluids are the exact pH they say they are, I used some water quality chemical test strips (made for checking pool water) to check the 7.00 pH solution, and the color on the test strip looked to be right at 7.0, so while this isn't a terribly precise verification method, it gave me confidence that it is indeed what it is supposed to be. My smart skimmer needs both the 7.00 and 10.00 fluids (which is close enough to the 10.01 provided in this kit) to perform its calibration procedure, and the calibration completed successfully. I ran a few tests after calibrating, and the smart skimmer is now consistently reading the exact pH of the two fluids.
