I bought these for Agar/Liquid Culture work. Bottles are rated for high temp and pressure ie...autoclave/Pressure Canner & Cooker work. Bottles also have drip resistant lip on them. Essential for pour work in home or lab.

These are not made with scientific pyrex type borosilicate glass. They seem too be regular glass as they are very thick, much thicker than my other erlenmeyer flasks. However, seem to do the trick as long as your not going from hot too cold rapidly. I had 2 shatter on me going from cold to hot and hot to cold. But for the money, I can just use my "real" ones for such activities, and use these for what they are.

like other reviews mentioned it does not have a flat bottom, don't expect those to work well on magnetic stirrers. they are media bottles, they are for storing liquids not for general mixing and titration. they work perfectly for their intended purpose. caps seem to fit snug enough to be hermetic. Pour ring seems a bit loose and cheap compared to a pyrex bottle, but still great value for the money considering a pyrex media bottle is 2-4x this price!edit: they got marked up by a lot, not sure if they are still worth it at this price.

Loved them we used them with our mad scientist costumes held our adult orange crush beverages great. Very pleased with the fact they came with a screw on top.

Perfect for an application not requiring sterility. I used it to boil media in the microwave and the lid was nice to have. It did not seal completely so if you're going to store things long term you may want to plastic wrap the lid and neck. Glass is quality.
