Our four year old grandson loves building the many possibilities of these flowers. This is our second box which can be extended onto the first.

My mother-in-law had a "vintage" toy with the same premise and every time we went over for a visit my daughter played with it incessantly and so I began searching for some such version. I decided to go with Green Toys because they use recycled materials and honestly make gorgeous and sturdy toys. The box says 3+ as an age guideline, however save 3 tiny pieces, which I've set aside for later, I've not found any of the others to be of concern for my 1 or 2 year old (who both still like to chew on things). My daughter loves to assemble the flowers in various and creative ways. This toy is great for fine motor skills and imaginative play. I am thrilled with my purchase and so are my children.

Both my daughter and I adore this toy. Bought earlier in year and played with constantly. It is very robust and educational - we talk about the colours, count, she has learnt concept of height (tall, shorter etc).It came beautifully packaged and displayed, in recycled cardboard - a lovely gift.I bought it to make a flower arrangement in the window box of my little one's play house but we mostly play with it on it's own.Highly recommend(just don't stand on upturned flowers; they don't flinch but I did!)

This toy is so awesome!! I have spent hours online trying to find something different to entertain and interest my daughter, who is 2 1/2. She loves blocks and puzzles, but needed something new. This is the ticket, mammas!! Such a fun toy. And I cannot express UNIQUE enough. It is such a nice blend of building and creativity.GOODLots and lots and lots of piecesBeautiful colors - it is so pleasing to the eye, that I am continually compelled to play with it tooFlexibility - It's super flexible for how you assemble your own flowers in the garden. - Practically every piece will fit into any of the other pieces. The only ones that won't are the pistols, which have to be the last part you put in (if you choose). - There is also a lot of flexibility in how you construct the base. Each of the 4 base sections can be attached to each other from either side. As a result, you can create a garden that is a serpentine line, a circle, or a combination of the two. - Your garden always looks different because there is so much variety in the pieces. Even the stems with leaves come in 2 different lengths.Satisfaction - This toy provides such a feeling of satisfaction when the child is done building his/her garden. They start with pieces, and end up with this beautiful creation. With blocks, you get a tower. Big deal. With this, you get a masterpiece! No Smell - A lot of plastic toys come with a funky smell that makes one wonder if there is any bad off-gassing going on. These do not smell. (though I haven't tested them for lead)BADDesign - It would be nice if the designers made each base piece a bit longer. It is quite a challenge to use all of the flower pieces because the holes in the bases are too close together and the pieces are too big to use adjacent holes in the base.Storage - I wish it came with a better way to store the multitude of pieces. It comes with a super-flimsy, thin cardboard box that isn't even big enough to close the lid completely. It would be nice if the makers packaged it in a small plastic container to use to keep all of the pieces. I will have to go and buy one, because the box cannot hold up to even light use, and it is necessary to be able to keep the pieces together in a more efficient way.Overall, a wonderful toy. I think this is going to be tucked away when my daughter outgrows it so she can use it with her children. It is so unique that she surely won't be able to find something similar when she grows up.
